Old Harbour Hotel

Taking a break from our hectic tour of India recently we took a couple of days out in Kochi and stayed at the Old Harbour hotel. We were upgraded to a very nice suite and the staff could not have been more helpful. There is no view of the harbour, but to be fair nobody says there is, we just kind of thought there might be from the name. The room was well equipped and everything was good. We did find two things that we thought might be improved; there is nowhere in the hotel to sit comfortably (like a lobby area with comfortable seating) and even the seats in our suite were quite hard, and the WiFi didn't work in our room. It worked outside but not in the room. A simple WiFi extender would overcome this!

We didn't stay here as we had booked somewhere else, we wanted to move to here but it was not possible and meant losing our money. We did have dinner here a few times, and we really regret not staying here as well! The food is excellent and when its not raining, dinner is served in the beautiful garden by the pool, and they have traditional Indian music, it is such a lovely experience. The staff are attentive and charming! It was our favourite place to be in Fort Kochi

This is our go to hotel in India. After 12 stays it's our home from home. Facilities, staff, food and location are all fantastic. Again a massive thank you to All the staff for making us so welcome. Cannot recommend this unique hotel enough.

Beautiful property for stay, Within walking distance of fort cochi. Staff wonderful, evening setting very nice with tables in garden, music playing across pool. Rooms.very spacious too Breakfast options fab too. 10/10 Hospitality

This was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at. The building is traditional with old world charm, the rooms are done up so gorgeously, with fresh flowers and the cutest decor. The staff, including Sakesh, Kapil, Cinderella and many more were absolutely amazing., their service was top notch. The food was delicious, especially all the seafood dishes and the breakfast...oh my goodness! I could eat breakfast all day long. The pool surrounded by lush trees and flowers was so enchanting, it almost felt like I was outside in the wild, birds chirping and playing around. The live music in the evening overlooking the pool was a wonderful treat. I would love to go stay there again. Someone said that there was noise from the street, but I had a garden room with a courtyard at the entrance, so I didn't hear any noises. However, I would have enjoyed the noises too, given that the place was itself so beautiful. We had wa Walking distance to lots of restaurants, ferry, Princess Street, shopping, Chinese fishing nets, fish market, Vasco da Gama square....oh it was all so lovely!

Wonderful - just perfect. A haven of old school tranquility in this bustling city. Fantastic service, beautiful setting, lovely pool. Attentive, friendly, professional. Can’t fault anything at all. Would definitely recommend unreservedly.
