Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa Coorg

Beautiful property with uninterrupted views of lush greenery and open sky.You will need atleast 3 days to fully explore the resort and wide range of activities and facilities it offers. It is nestled amidst the lush evergreen rainforest of Coorg.Because the resort is 4000 Feet above the sea level, the property has pretty steep climbs all over. Come prepared if you don't want to rely too much on buggies(though the buggies are just one call away) and enjoy the walk in and around the property. Despite this we saw many elderly people enjoying their stay there which says a lot about the accessibity and thoughtful service. The Resort offers many outdoor activites like ziplining,paintball, kayaking, Archery, Nature's Trail, Rainforest walk etc and also has an indoor games room. They even have a small herb garden and a strawberry garden looked after by a wonderful lady who walked us around the herb garden talking about all the herbs growing there,we also got to eat strawberries, gooseberries from the garden!! I was taken back to my childhood days when i got to eat mulberries from the trees planted there. Our highlight was the Morning Nature's Trail.The walk was guided by Mr. Pradhan - passionate nature lover who shared his knowledge throughout the walk. The service and hospitality at Taj hotels is one of the best in the world, no wonder it is so highly rated. A heartfelt thanks to Ms. Rebita Singha and Mr. Ginil Varghese who took care of every need and made our stay a memorable one. The only area which need slight improvement is the service at the restaurant .They were slightly short-staffed at the dining area due to which the order was taking longer to arrive.Also the breakfast buffet spread wasn't as extensive as Taj Mumbai or Bhubaneshwar. Thank you, Taj Coorg, for an unforgettable stay.

We had an incredible 2-night stay at The Taj Coorg Resort. The experience was top-notch, with comfortable accommodations, gourmet cuisine, and exceptional service from the dedicated and professional staff. Upon arrival, Front Office Manager Ginil Varghese warmly greeted us and provided a thorough overview of the resort's facilities, eco-friendly construction, and outdoors activities. His passion and knowledge were truly impressive. The cottage transfer was seamless, and our room was spacious with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. We spent hours lounging in the comfort of our room, taking in the stunning vistas. The resort's dining options were outstanding, particularly the Grill and Dew restaurants, where Savu provided exceptional service. Ferntree's breakfast spread and Multicusine dinner experience were also noteworthy. We indulged in rejuvenating spa treatments at J Circle, expertly managed by Dr. Vidhi and Therapist Preethi, who ensured an unforgettable experience. Kudos to the entire team for making our stay truly unforgettable! We can't wait to return and experience the magic of The Taj Coorg Resort again. It was an amazing experience with a mesmerising view.Rain forest walk was the best part of this resort. The communication among the staff members was outstanding Rebita is the gem of the taj, coorg Will visit back Loved it My daughter just loved it Kids friendly place ……. … ….

Few staff members had won our hearts special mention of. Rebita at the front desk. She took keen interest and paid attention from our arrival to our activities. Appreciate her detailing. Other few names are from restaurants - Ricky jain, manoranjan, Nilesh and Arti . They increased the level of hospitality to 7 stars. Kudos to the restaurant team also.

We did stay in Taj Madikeri for my wife's 40th bday and it turned out to be the most memorable one. Rebita Singha ensured that my wife was surprised with a cake and decoration in room Nithin Subbaiah (naturalist) took us for trekking and again it turned out to be the amazing One Loved our stay and will surely visit again (hopefully)

Just when we feel that they can’t do better than the previous Taj property we visited we are proved wrong yet again . Taj defines the word hospitality to a different level. Every staff member is super efficient and always ready to help . Alert and attentive stewards Gowtham and Nilesh , perfectionist Chef Raja , the polite check in and front desk team , the smiling buggy drivers , the prompt house keeping would all score a perfect 10. Food in all restaurants was outstanding. The Dew with its Healthy options. The Grill with its candle light dinner ambience, the traditional thali .. every meal was outstanding. The Spa is a must visit .. the Guddha authentic copper bucket hot bath and scub gives nothing less than a queen feeling . The lobby has a unique charm with it’s openness and views of the valley Rooms are nice with decent views Some suggestions only for the rooms : 1. Some more light or a lamp especially near the desk . The room was extremely dim post sunset . 2. The blinds !!! They were a task to put up and down . We had to call the staff for this each time ( they came within minutes ! ) . Curtains may have been an easier option as the blinds were also dusty in parts 3. A full length or a small mirror in the room as there is only a mirror in the bathroom 4. The hair dryer looked old and outdated 5. A steam iron would be better than the regular iron provided 6. The wood work behind the bed is beautifully carved .. but impossible to clean am sure as many edges were filled with dust All in all a wonderful hotel and a must visit Superb team work Taj .. look forward to visiting again some day
