This is a convenient inn located in front of the station, just a 3-minute walk from the south exit of Kofu Station (the exit with the statue of Takeda Shingen). The entire building is covered in ivy, giving it a retro feel. At first glance, it doesn't look like an inn. The accommodation is mainly Japanese-style rooms, with shared baths, toilets, and washrooms, and no refrigerator. This time I stayed in the only Western-style single room, which is old but well-cleaned and comfortable. They also lent me a small refrigerator free of charge, and they looked after my luggage before and after check-in, so I felt their hospitality was high. I stayed on the third floor, but the stairs are quite steep, so I had to be careful when going up and down. The bath is located at the back of the first floor and is reasonably spacious, and the tub is large, so I could relax in it. You can basically take a bath in a private room, so it's nice that you won't be sharing it with other guests. Overall, I think it's a comfortable inn if you don't mind the shared toilets, baths, and washrooms. The inn itself is an old building facing the street, so I was worried about the room shaking a little. I've listed only the good points above, but you have to pay the accommodation fee in advance when you check in. While I was paying, the elderly female landlady was giving instructions to her staff about the payment. It was as if she thought I was going to check out without paying. Talking about money in front of a customer is not acceptable in the service industry. I was also put off by the fact that she spoke to me in an angry tone when I asked her something. I felt that if the customer was impatient, it could have led to a fight. Anyway, this incident has ruined my mood. I don't want to stay there again. The neighboring coffee shop "Rokuyokan", which is managed by the same company, also charges 600 yen for an iced coffee. To be honest, it's expensive and tastes bad. It's an old inn that is commercial in nature. I don't think I can recommend it.
