Visited as part of an Explore! Tour for our last night before returning to Colombo. A real disappointment. The location is truly wonderful but the hotel is in need of some TLC. The beach furniture is poorly maintained and the rooms even more tired than we were. There are so many staff! They are however poorly managed. Getting a beach towel was a bit of an enterprise. There’s more atmosphere in our dentist’s waiting room than in the bar. The breakfast was awful. The food was great but the organisation was the worst we have experienced in two weeks. They kept running out of key ingredients or they seemed to be under the counter! The location remains its key +ve feature. For dinner, try the Surf and Turf along the road.

We had a wonderful stay at Koggala Beach Hotel. The calm and peaceful atmosphere, combined with delicious food and excellent service from the staff, made my experience truly enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Koggala.

Simply.....it was a great experience.....We really liked everything there. Located very close to beautiful Koggala beach..., its a nice place for those who want to relax and have there quiet time with amazing foods. They serve us candlelight dinner. They have vegetarian options also in their lunch menu.... Great hospitality.... Amazing staff... Thank you very much 🙏

We had an amazing stay at the hotel and it truly exceeded our expectations. The staff and management were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We were offered a late checkout of 6 hours free of charge, which was a wonderful gesture and allowed us to enjoy the facilities even longer. Our kids had a blast during the entire stay. The staff was particularly great with children, always smiling and engaging with them, which really made them feel special.

The overall service was not good, the breakfast did not have any variety and just some basic food items. The room phones were not working. The pool staff were very slow to find pool towels. It was tye first time I booked this hotel. Definitely I will not recommend it to anyone.

Watch what you sign for. Printer ink faint and lighting very poor, especially in the bar. We were with a group, on the coach ready to leave when they came up with an additonal bill. Impossible to read chitties even in daylight. They assumed I had the buffet, so charged this and an a la carte meal. A la carte obviously subject to service charge and tax, so rice and one curry as much as the buffet (or possibly much more). With coach and fellow group members waiting I had no choice but to pay again. Spoilt what had been an pleasant stay.

Very quiet and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Long beach to walk along. Sea was a bit wavy but it depends on what time of year you go. There is a pool. Food was varied and good. There are a few nearby restaurants. We were bed and breakfast but we did eat a evening meal a few times which was great.
