We booked Vanara Bungalows at the last minute and stayed in their Yurt Jungle Tents. The grounds are really nice with the exception of the very old and crumbling bungalows that need to be knocked down. The yurt tents were spacious and clean, enough room for my husband and I. Our daughter had a yurt to herself, so no complaints about space there. We asked for two additional pillows which made a huge difference. The toilet and showers are outside of your yurk and are once again clean. Each yurt has its individual shower and toilet so there is no sharing. There is a full length mirror, small air conditioning unit, comfy superking bed. The only thing missing was a kettle and some tea/coffee making facilities. Please do remember that you are surrounded by undeveloped/jungle land so watch out for the creepy crawlies. We had a cockroach in our bathroom one night and our daughter had a massive spider, this cannot be helped due to the location. It was also really nice sitting on the beanbags looking up at the vast sky during the warm evenings. We did not eat the Vanara Bungalows but directly opposite the entrance is a visitors centre. We hired a car from there and drove around the island to experience other parts. Unfortunately for us, we were only there for 3 nights so we did not get to see or experience as much as we wanted. Koh Chang is beautiful and we really regretted spending too much time in Pattaya. Never mind, next time!
