The previous reviews and photos tempted me to come to this place. But the reality is quite different. It looks like a completely dilapidated hotel. The beach is tiny, unmaintained and full of rubbish. The canoes (2) are abandoned on the beach. No reception: only 3 people to run the hotel in high season. Obviously, cleaning is complicated, lots of places are very dirty or cluttered. The deckchairs no longer have cushions. The wifi is unusable. The rooms are still beautiful but: atrocious bedding (you can feel the springs of the mattress) and it smells very strongly of mould because there are major humidity problems in the hotel. The smell is really unpleasant: as if I were sleeping in the cellar. Finally, the biggest problem: the completely isolated hotel does not have a restaurant and cannot feed you. They do serve breakfast, but you have to let them know the day before.! There is a meal delivery service but the meal is 300 baht minimum. The hotel has a small grocery store with instant soups and chips... I think it was a very nice hotel in the past (maybe even with activities) but there is absolutely nothing there. There are things to visit around ("mangrove, waterfalls etc) but no activities offered from the hotel except renting a scooter. The boat tours or diving offered on the island often leave from the west coast. So you are totally isolated (you should know that) Only positive: The sea view is magnificent and you are peaceful.
