Koh Kood Bed's

Wasn't sure what to expect from Koh Kood BED's but was genuinely surprised by the bright, clean and spacious room (huge bathroom!) that has a comfy bed and bunch of complimentary snacks to welcome you. Located just off the main road, it's a easy 10 min walk the beach and there are several restaurants nearby if you don't wish to venture far/do not have a scooter. I had to move to another accommodation closeby for the remaining of my trip, even though it was close the owner was kind enough to give me a lift on his scooter. I'd definitely recommend this place especially for couples.

Clean, new, comfortable bed. Beware when u rent a motorbike. Take video of it before u take it or they will try to blame u for any damage (happened to a friend). Besides that. Everything was pretty straightforward Would stay again

My home from home place to stay in Koh Kood. This is my 7th year staying at Koh Kood Bed’s, so that already tells you how good is ! Huge rooms, beautifully decorated, set amongst lush gardens and palm trees. So peaceful and quiet and is in a great part of the island to easily explore all beaches and restaurants, bars and cafes. The beds are so comfortable you get the perfect sleep. Also rent your motor bike here, they’re all new and safe to drive. Jay the owner is super helpful. Highly recommended.

Very poor experience. Pictures are very deceiving and was very disappointed at arrival since I was expecting something else due to the extremely enhanced foto exposure of the place. The bed linnen was ripped and matras was stained. The little sofa unusable to sit on and a security camera in your face on the little balcony outside.(below it still lot off construction debris laying around). Nextdoor there is construction going on starting at 7am and the karaoke noise stopped around 24:00. The curtains are not blocking out the sunlight so very difficult to get some sleep at this place. The total vibe is totally different as advertised and appropriate to the price I payed. (Don’t pay more than 1200thb for this place! (I paid double)). Location not the best and walking to beach as advertised not really a good idea. Unfortunately I reserved for 4 days and couldn’t stay longer than one day which I told the owner (?) which refused to give me a refund but I’m still waiting for the PayPal decision outcome. At least moving to another place was the best decision I probably made this vacation.

I had to give this place a 5 because it would not be fair to give it just a 4, and there is no 4.5 option. It would have been a full 5 if the location was right on a beach but it's just a charming short walk or ride to your choice of several nearby beaches, including the incredible Au Bang Bao beach, which I still dream about. BEDS is in a quiet spot, but a quick walk to a couple of very good restaurants, including the Cicci Thai Cooking School right next door which is open much of the day -- I strongly advise checking it out. Bang Bao Home restaurant nearby, pretty much where the road to Bang Bao beach turns off the main road. Our room was clean, functional, had a view of neighbouring backyards (nicer than it sounds), and a thin but sufficient ***** of concrete deck outside the sliding backdoors, allowing pleasant morning coffee. The bathroom decor was wonderfully quirky. No complaints. But the real story is the staff, and particularly owner Jay, who was very helpful in giving us tips of where to go for this and that, arranging a fair-priced scooter, and when one of us had an unfortunate spill off the scooter, making sure that all was taken care of. He rushed back from a business trip to Trat in fact, to make sure all was good. And Jay spoke excellent English, which is not something one ought to expect, but was a wonderful plus. Other staff, especially Thong, were also helpful. If it's not essential for you to stay at a beachfront resort, I recommend Koh Kood BED's to you.
