we had night stay here. Hotel is located in the old part of Konya and was on a very busy street and free parking is not convenient. Someone had to valet park in a close by public parking. Rooms were old and we had suite with air conditioner in one room and nothing in the other room. Hallways were dark and vibe the hotel gave was very dingy. It was close to the historical sites we wanted to visit and breakfast was ok.

The hotel location is perfect, near the main sites like Mevlana museum center, mevlana cultural center, Alaa Eldin Mosque and Azizeye district with its vibrant markets, all in walking distance.Restaurants, supermarket and a pharmacy are nearbye. Room was spacious, clean and tidy with all facilities: aircon, kettle, minibar..etc. Breakfast was a nice traditional Turkish style with varieties of cheese, vegs and fruits. Staff is nice - special thanks for Nergis Hanım for her hospitality and the manager for his nice gesture. I recommend the hotel and hoping another stay in the near future.

Big , spacious clean rooms. 7 minutes walk to mevlana museum. Polite and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was also good. I loved their freshly baked cookies . There are two reasons why I didn’t give five star first one is the sink in our bathroom was clogged and water was running slowly. And second and most important reason is they charge me more than I booked without mentioning this to me. I found out when I checked my bank account.

Pro: within walking distance to Mevlana Museum, rich Turkish buffet breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, and spacious room. Cons: the hotel needs maintenance as there are broken here. Having maintenance will make the hotel so much more comfortable :-)))

Unbearable odors. If you don't want to live inside an ashtray, avoid it. Although it happens all over Turkey, it is not acceptable to have to sleep in an ashtray. Avoid it without a doubt. flee from this place. It's disgusting. We bought sheets because it made us sick to use the ones we had.

Our guests who were coming to my wedding chose this hotel and paid for 2 rooms. I had booked 2 rooms through Otelz for another guest. My guests couldn't come because it was a funeral, and I forgot to cancel the reservation in the wedding rush. No check-in confirmation was received from me on the wedding day. I did not receive a reminder phone call or email. I asked them to understand that I was in such debt that I could submit the death certificate and wedding invitation, and to deduct at least some of it and return it. They did not take me into account because I was a woman, and they hung up the phone on me, saying that even if you come to the hotel in a rude and bad manner, we will not give a refund. I talked to Otelz and although they said that if the hotel accepts it, we will refund it, the man called Mr. Fatih said that he would not refund it and did not make any compromise. I don't know how in a country like Konya, eating haram food at the place where Mevlana rests is acceptable to them. I'm skipping the moral and belief part, a business should not have this attitude. Baykara Hotel is a representation of corruption and bigotry. I do not forgive my rights. The employees wish their hotel was as good as they wanted, after hanging up the phone. I wish our other guests had not stayed at this hotel. It is a business that is completely money oriented, tries to get the service they do not provide, eats haram, and says that we took the money and it is over.
