The Hotel Dündar in Konya was one of my favourites on the tour of Turkey. Despite being quite modern it has touches that reflect the city's past such as the fountain at the entrance and the marvellous whirling dervish mural. The rooms were very clean and up to date. The breakfast buffet was among the best on the trip with a huge selection of cheese and olives, both of which I like for breakfast as well as a good selection of hot dishes. It was the only place I saw halvah on offer. It is a mid-Eastern sweet that goes great with morning coffee. The location is close to many restaurants and shops in a modern part of the city.

The room was good, they brought our suitcases up quickly, although we had to go immediately to dinner, without time for anything. My complaint is about the head of the dining room, haughty and rude if ever there was one, with how friendly they are in general and, above all, the contemptuous treatment of the waitresses who were charming.
