We had an enjoyable stay at Camvillia as a family of four. We loved the relaxing nature of the location and the free transport down to the lovely beach. We did not mind paying extra for the sun loungers. The service was slightly hit or miss but one of the main compliments for us was the friendliness of the less senior members of staff. It was very useful having the shop/cafe just outside the hotel, and there are a few little shops and eating options within the village. Our room was lovely and we were very appreciative of the extra bed supplied. There is much room for improvement at Camvillia, even considering this as a solid four star hotel (as the UK tour operator sites do). There were 3 occasions where we made requests on the hotel with nothing forthcoming. Each time I gave up after asking for a 3rd time. The requests were very simple and yet made our stay less pleasant as a result. The green scum around the main and private pools was not appropriate and should have been cleaned. The Spa itself is in need of some TLC and has the potential to be a really lovely space. Although the treatments themselves were very good. We found half board was not worth it as there were too many restrictions on food, especially if vegetarian. Due to really excessive wait times for dinner, we ended up going to the (two) other options in the village in the evenings.

This was the second time I have visited Camvillia which is testament to how amazing this little gem of perfection is. The infinity pool facing the Peloponnese is so beautiful, the staff so friendly and efficient and the rooms/suites so thoughtfully decorated. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner manager who just wants to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The walk to the beach is lovely along a quiet road but there is a minivan if you prefer. The beach and swimming is idyllic. The hotel provides towels and for a small fee you can have a sunbed and drinks delivered to you. There are restaurants around the beach Akri being a favourite but the half- board at Camvillia is such good value with beautifully fresh ingredients. The pork was delicious. Breakfast is the best I have had, so many traditional choices. The backdrop gorgeous view is the icing on the cake. Already planning our return next year. Cannot wait.

must warn you in advance this is going to be a long one, there are pros and cons I will start with the pros first, it will be the shortest! The pool and view stunning, most of the staff lovely and the shuttle to the beach is brilliant, in the area you have one little shop, which i christened Arkwrights because it literally was open all hours, and one little Taverna called Evli, basic but nice food, its like going back 50 years Now for the complaints It started with our executive sea view room, it felt like going into a basement, i did mention it straight away to Georgia, who told me in no uncertain terms, “You have a balcony” Georgia herself needs to go on a customer hospitality course, quickly, i found her unhelpful and quite rude at times I would class it a partial sea view because the trees where blocking it when sitting down, i have included photographs, room 203 The toilet bowl was stained, the shower underfoot was disgusting, see photos You are allocated one bottle of water in your room on arrival, and that is it, ALL 5 star hotels i have stayed in replace that bottle every day You have 2 sticks of coffee in your room, if you want more you have to go to reception everyday, this is not a 5 Star service, no replacement of toilet roll, i had to walk over the car park to reception one morning for a toilet roll, again not 5 star service! No milk pods in room, and the mini bar price list is there with wine on, but the wine was never put in the fridge, personally i think it is because they can make more money at the bar charging ridiculous prices! No pack in room with the usual local information you would expect, again not 5 star ! I did speak to the jet2 rep and she told me that the hotel was going to speak to me directly about the restaurant issues i had, Georgia had plenty of opportunity but she seemed to prefer to hide! The drinks are very very expensive, a glass of wine, small measure, was 9 Euro, a bottle at dinner 30 Euro, 2 ouzos, small measure 20 Euro, absolutely no atmosphere in the bar area at night because people with any sense where not prepared to pay the over inflated prices, which was a shame because it was a nice area with a wonderful view. Now the Restaurant! I did email the hotel prior to going and they assured me they catered! For the full 10 days the menu was the same, except with a couple of exceptions, that was after i spoke to Georgia on the third night to ask her to arrange the kitchen to do something different and frankly edible, like moussaka, which they did, even tho she said I wouldn’t be able to eat it as gluten free people cant eat potatoes ! I told her to google what gluten free meant , the kitchen did do a gluten free version The only other addition they did was add two gluten free appetisers, an octopus dish and a cheese pie, i asked the waiter to check with the kitchen, both NOT gluten free, they could have quite easily put someone in hospital! Georgia also lied to me telling me the menu was changed approximately

My friends ask me why i spend my vacations twice a year at Camvillia Resort. I tell them how can anyone get fed up at this paradise. I want to thank the employees of the hotel for making my holidays so wonderful once again. I hope to see you all again next year.

The hotel offers a perfect position view, all the resort was beautiful, the food really great, very polite and highly experienced personnel. The seaside and the sea is beautiful, very calm landscape and the access is more than easy with the hotel van transportation. Everything has constituted a real 5 star experience and both the hotel and the place are highly recommended.

This was a five star hotel,It Wasn't the hotel looked lovely, grounds nice infinity pool was lovely nice views hotel had a free car to the beach and pick up back it was ok.I was with my sister our room was for someone in a wheelchair the bathroom was a wet room, the shower was smaller than my sister and she's about 5 foot so you can imagine taking a shower washing your hair our back was sore the view was spoiled by trees not an Executive room with sea view,we did say we were not happy with the room but told hotel was full maybe tomorrow there would be another room tomorrow never came the person we spoke to was seemingly the manageress ,she was Rude didn't want too know,we said the bathroom was dirty taken to wipe the floor ,cloth had lots of dirt on it and that was after been cleaned for most of the week.I could go on and on which is such a shame as this could be a lovely hotel but needs new management.

We’ve just spent ten nights at Camvillia and, although we had a good time, it was not as good as expected. The hotel is in a village with a church, a mini market and two restaurants so v. quiet but authentic. It’s in a v. beautiful and interesting part of Greece that we’d never visited before. You need to hire a car if you want to visit the surrounding area or go by taxi to other restaurants. The hotel is a nice looking building set on a hillside with pretty gardens and amazing views. However, some aspects of the hotel need attention and, as stated in other reviews, we wouldn’t class this as a five star luxury hotel. We stayed in an executive double room which was large with a lovely view from the balcony but the bathroom was disappointing as it had an old- fashioned bath with shower over which was v. cramped. A walk in shower/wet room would be better as there’s plenty of space. The bedroom was pleasant but a few things detracted from it such as cracked wood, overheating fridge as in a cupboard, curtain hanging off hook, mosquito plug empty in wardrobe, bright green exit light on at night. There was no information in the room about anything, (which is a first) along with no free water/milk. The teabags weren’t restocked and the room was tidied but not really cleaned daily. Regarding communal areas the reception/ bar/restaurant was nice with lovely views and apparently there was an internet room that we didn’t know about. We didn’t use the spa but it looked fine. The infinity pool was lovely apart from the layer of green mould around the edge that people had graffitied on (!) and the pool toilets needed attention. Breakfast was good although the staff (with the exception of the older lady) need to be more proactive and replenish food/crockery and display labels. Reception was helpful but again there was no information about anything. The staff are generally friendly but those in customer facing roles could engage more with the guests and enquire about their welfare. The shuttle to the beach was great although it’s not a private beach as advertised on some websites. All in all a few things for the management to consider!

The hotel is beautiful as is the accommodation but cleaning not up to scratch for five stars basic things get forgotten ie. Toilet rolls !!! Pool toilet filthy !!! And pool has green scum around edge!! Breakfast food good quality but staff need to smile a little more and not be so forgetful!!! Every day we had to ask two or three times for things as did other guests!! Produce run out and was not replenished without asking and there seemed to be a problem with cereal bowls not enough ???!!! There is a charge for private beach sunbeds which is not explained and only certain food on menu is for half board guests!!!!

So lovely to know that when you get there, everything will be as you left it!! The warmest of welcomes, making you feel you're part of the family!! What a setting....the views, the sunsets, the delicious culinary delights throughout!! The wine and cocktails! Nothing is too much trouble. A real Home from home, and just the place to totally relax!! Books to read, transport to the beach.....Nothing to worry about, just relax!! Thank you for a wonderful time, yet again!!
