Ammos Luxury Resort

I cannot understand some of the negative reviews on here. My wife and I had a fantastic time. The setting is perfect, great location and not far from the airport. Options to swim in the pool or the resorts self enclosed beach area. A good choice of food for the three meals a day and fruit and snacks served by the pool. The housekeeping is the best we've ever encountered, the place is spotless !! Welcome drink on arrival and some food was placed in our room as we arrived late, a nice touch. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Special mention to Pogona the manageress, she bent over backwards to make our stay extra special. In fact we loved it so much we're about to book again. Thank you Ammos, see you next year.

This was best holidays we ever had. Hotel is nice, location is good but what i would like to thanks are people who works there. They made our holidays more than great. Intertainment team from hearth thank you! You are best! Kitchen - food exelent!

This review is based on a couple travelling for a 5 night ALL INCLUSIVE stay in mid July 2024. A basic summary would conclude that this is NOT a 5* ‘Luxury’ Hotel. Very far from it. I’m not sure if that was ‘self awarded’ but should not be sold as such and re-classified. Very far from it. 3* tops. The location of the hotel is somewhat secluded on the South West side of the Island of Kos and a 15min taxi trip. Great if you like the quiet, not good if you want to walk out local. We arrived around midnight and were welcomed by the evening staff member at reception where we were taken to our room on the 3rd floor with a premium sea view, (albeit across the roof, the pool and a kids play area). There were two plated meals and some fruit and a bottle of wine as a welcome which was a nice touch. That was pretty much the last highlight as the room was hot and the meat and cheese were sweating to get out of the cling film. Overall, the room was ok, bed was comfy and the bathroom had the basics. There was no mirror in the room itself only in the bathroom. The TV in the room showed a wealth of information about activities and services… about other hotels in the chain. Information about the hotel and services was non existent even the staff didn’t know. There was a kettle and a coffee pod machine. Use it once and it’s €1.50 a pod thereafter for the rest of your stay. (All inclusive)… The meals (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner) were a buffet style with a reasonably good variety but very high salt measures. If you are Italian, don’t look at the spaghetti bolognese! Not much in the way of deserts or gluten free options there outside of fruit. There was a table service for wines and beers but was generally quicker to go the lounge bar yourself. We took advantage of the ‘A La Carte’ experience which was basically the same dinner menu but served to you overlooking the beach at sunset. The service there was good and the cat that strolls about has no loyalty! The pool area looked great in the photos and promo. In reality you have the usual ‘towels’ placed out at sunrise all taken and nobody for dust and a holiday bass-line pumping during the day with a bar serving drinks all day, all inclusively (until 23:00 then you have to pay…. Seriously..wtf..). Luckily, we prefer the sea and the hotel has as its own private beach area. Although keep your fitness apps running as the journey is super steep getting there and back! Ok, so the beach is nice, westerly facing but has rock wave breakers so you need to head out to sea at the end of the beach. If your an open water swimmer, you can safely swim a route of 800m and back the tide chops up around noon. There were an adequate number of sun beds/ canopies and shaded areas. But no umbrellas on the beach beds. (No towels thrown down either)! The main massive downside to the beach is that there were no drinks service at all, no staff even visible and no rubbish bins anywhere. If they only moved a bar to the beach rest

I have sent the hotel 2 emails now and had no response from either, which I think is very rude and unprofessional. Baring mind this was whilst I was staying at the hotel. I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the level of service I experienced during my current stay at Ammos Luxury Resort hotel. As a frequent traveler, I have come to expect a certain standard of service and hospitality, which unfortunately is was not met during my time at your establishment. Firstly, the condition of my room left much to be desired. The room is not properly cleaned, with visible dust and dirt in various areas especially the toilet floor which I don’t think has been cleaned all the time we have been here, as the same dirt is still on the floor. Additionally, some amenities are not being replenished, such as towels, despite multiple requests made to housekeeping on numerous days they still aren’t leaving new towels. The handle on the toilet door in our room came away every time you open it which caused an issue. This brings me on to discuss the shower problem. I had to put a towel on the outside of the door because if I don’t then the room gets flooded with water. This is certainly something that I wouldn’t expect to have to do in a 5 star hotel. Moreover, the dining experience at your hotel is subpar. The quality of the food served does not align with the prices charged, and the service at the restaurant is non existent when it comes to being served at the table for items such as refreshments. The staff or more like table cleaners than waiters. This makes me feel unappreciated as a paying guest. Also whilst I appreciate the effort put into offering a variety of food and beverage options, I was disappointed to find that the juice available for guests was of not great quality. The juice served appeared to be cheap and was evidently high in sugar content, which did not align with the expectations I would have from a reputable hotel like yours. There is also supposed to be a speciality Greek restaurant however from speaking with other guests it would seem the food that is served is exactly the same as the main restaurant. This is supposed to a unique restaurant that serves home cooked cuisine for guests. Also the layout of the ‘Greek’ restaurant is more like a cafe than a sit down evening meal. I would also like to bring to your attention some issues I encountered with the lobby bar service during my stay. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the level of training and expertise demonstrated by the bar staff, particularly in their ability to make cocktails and their knowledge of basic spirits. To the point that the staff on the lobby bar are from house-keeping. They do try to do their best but it is unacceptable. How can you run a bar for a 5 star hotel with housekeeping serving. Throughout my stay, I visited the lobby bar on several occasions and was dismayed to find that the staff seemed unfamiliar with how to prepare common cocktails.

Excellent service: The staff was polite, friendly, and always ready to assist. They made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. Delicious food: The meals were incredible Fantastic facilities: The pool was perfectly maintained, providing the ultimate relaxation experience. Unforgettable vacation: We spent 7 amazing days and can’t wait to return for more moments of relaxation and luxury!

Very nice resort. Great value for money. Very good food options, buffet and the all inclusive restaurant with Greek food. Our room was very nice, modern and clean with a jacuzzi and a great view. The pool sunset is the highlight and it’s private beach,
