This place is super relaxing and peaceful, but you’ll need to drive there. The drive up to Towada Lake is an adventure in itself.
The room is super clean and spacious.
The dinner and breakfast are decent too.
The bathhouse is a bit old-fashioned, but it’s clean and has a great view of the lake.
It’s the perfect place to unwind during the middle of our trip.

This place is extraordinarily overpriced for what it is. I expected much more amenities and service.
Although the staff were friendly and courteous, the place was fairly bland. The onsen was mediocre and there were no refreshments afterwards unless you wanted to go to a vending machine. Even Dormy Inn provides refreshments after the onsen but at Towado Hotel having to pay for them and not even the nice ones is ridiculous when you have to pay so much to stay here. The same for the relaxation chair. It is coin-operated not complementary.
I would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for a luxury experience because although you pay for that, it’s definitely nowhere near that. Our Western style room was very basic, and it just didn’t have those special finishing touches I had hoped for.

The hotel is a full wooden building. After checking in, I found it to be a treasure hotel. Not only the building structure, but also the various services are very traditional and in place, from the pick-up driver, the front desk to the restaurant service, which really allows guests to enjoy the intimate, comfortable, subtle and thoughtful Japanese service👍

The hotel's front desk service is very thoughtful and the surrounding environment is also very good. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to the lake. There is a natural hot spring bath in the hotel, and the breakfast is also very good. You can choose between Western and Japanese. There are also small shops inside where you can buy local delicacies and handicrafts. Very good

We booked two Japanese-style rooms with bathroom facilities, but when we arrived at the hotel we were told that only one room had bathroom facilities. This was not made clear when booking, or Trip did not communicate well with the hotel.
