There are some experiences that go beyond words—Somatheeram is one of them. Nestled in the sacred, lush coastal beauty of Kerala, this place is not just a resort—it is a sanctuary for the soul. I arrived with the intention of doing Panchakarma, but I am leaving with so much more: a renewed body, a peaceful heart, and a deeper connection to my inner self. From the moment I arrived, I was embraced with warmth, care, and attentiveness that felt deeply genuine. The team at Somatheeram- every doctor, therapist, housekeeper, and staff member—be it at the reception or in the restaurant—offered their service with mindfulness and love. Their dedication went far beyond the expected. Whether it was tailoring meals not listed on the menu (black masala tea/lactose free desserts or gluten free meals) , checking in with sincere concern during treatments. Having previously experienced wellness at renowned places like Henri Chenot, I can honestly say that what Somatheeram offers is on a different level—deeper, purer, and more spiritually aligned. I leave with immense gratitude—for the wisdom of Ayurveda, for the sacredness of India, and most of all, for the extraordinary souls who make Somatheeram so special. You will forget your home. Excellent treatment with extra care. Staff are very polite, very clean rooms with greenery feel you are staying with nature.

“Kāya-indriya-siddhiḥ aśuddhi-kṣayāt tapasah.” When the impurities fall away, the body and senses shine with light. — Yoga Sūtra II.43 🔥 When grace becomes the fire, even the ashes shine. ✨ To heal is to be undone — and still choose softness. 🌙 The kind of stillness that rearranges everything. I came to Kerala to rest, but the healing moved like water — slow, deliberate, eternal. It didn’t rush or reach; it simply returned me to the places within I had forgotten were whole. 🌊 Somatheeram didn’t just touch the body; it spoke in a language older than words — a hum felt more than heard. In the hush of temple corridors, beneath moss and monsoon light, something ancient began to stir. A remembering. A rhythm. A pulse beneath all things. 🌿 And perhaps that’s what this place offered — not perfection, but a sacred undoing. The gentle burning away of all that dimmed my own radiance. 💫 Each morning opened like a prayer, sunlight spilling through palm leaves, silence rising between heartbeats. Oil, breath, salt, and devotion — everything became medicine when met with presence. This is the season of release, reflection, and return. ♏️ Of surrender that doesn’t mean loss, of devotion that feels like remembering what it means to belong — to the body, to the breath, to the earth itself. 🌸 To what I shed, to what remains — I bow. 🙏🏽 Salt on my skin, sun on my face, peace in my bones. ☀️💧 Eternally grateful — humbled by the unseen hands of grace, by the quiet teachers disguised as endings, by the mercy of being remade again and again. 🤍

It was a marvellous experience The ayurvedic treatments were exceptional and the doctors took care of me from the first to the last minute of my stay . The swimming pool was with an exceptional panoramic view of the Arabian sea . The front office was extremely helpful aswell as housekeeping the flours in the garden were enchanting.

I had a perfect week, so relaxing that I have totally disconnected from my job, which is very hard for me, being an workoholic. Everything was great: the staff, the rooms, the garden, the food, the massages, everything. The staff was extremely welcoming and caring, it was a pleasure to talk to them every day. The entire place was very clean and the garden very well mentained, it was very relaxing to have a walk on the property, among the cottages. The food was absolutely delicious. I have a very strict diet and usually, when I travel, I chose a place where to have my own kitchen, so that I can cook my own food. But here there were around 13 dishes at each meal, and 90% of them were in accordance with my diet. The ones containing gluten, or sugar were signalised, so that I can chose properly. A great thank you to Mr. Baby Mathew, Mr. Sujesh, Mr. Subash and a very special lady, director of clients relation, whose name I forgot but whose kindness I won’t!

My stay at Somatheeram Ayurveda was extraordinary. This was a deeply humbling and healing journey, and I am beyond grateful for the exceptional care and hospitality we received. From the moment I arrived, I was met with warmth and attentiveness. A special thank you to Mr. Sujesh, the property manager, for making my experience seamless and stress-free. His dedication to guest satisfaction truly stands out. The doctors were incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and insightful, providing expert guidance that made a real difference in my healing process. My therapists were excellent, ensuring that every treatment was both relaxing and effective. The room service staff was outstanding, always patient and prompt with their service, making sure we had everything we needed. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job, keeping everything pristine and being exceptionally attentive to details. Beyond the treatments, the experience was enriched by the fun and well-organized tours, and the yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises were incredibly beneficial in restoring balance and peace. The food was simply delicious—every meal was a treat, with decadent desserts that I thoroughly enjoyed. The property itself is breathtaking—peaceful, filled with positive energy, and exuding tranquility. It truly is a sanctuary for the mind, body, and soul. I am leaving Somatheeram feeling healed, rejuvenated, and incredibly grateful. I can’t wait to return, this time with my family, to experience this beautiful holistic retreat again.
