Hotel Batory

Great little place. Room clean and comfy. Lovely breakfast and staff very helpful and friendly. 10 min walk from main square and felt very safe walking back at night even in the dark as we went in November. Will definitely be coming back to Krakow and will book thuis accommodation if available.

Having a brilliant time here at hotel. We had a lovely day trip and the meal out in old town and made our way back to hotel. Went to reception desk to ask for our room key and then could we have some milk for our room. We were greeted by a woman called Dominica who replied sharply in what we understood to be ‘I’ll get my colleague to get some’ and off she disappeared to what we thought was Dominica going to find colleague to get milk for us. We waited a good 10 minutes before we heard her returning and carry bags and going behind the desk where another colleague came to the desk area. She didn’t acknowledge us so we asked again about the milk and she just turned on us both in a very condescending belittling tone saying we should look for colleague, it’s very easy task you just ask person sitting in chair! We said we did it was you in chair! She continued to collect her things and continued moaning at us and left. It’s not our place to go looking all around hotel for staff! It’s such a shame she has tarnished our stay as the hotel is beautiful and the breakfast area & food available is yummy and staff there are very friendly and approachable. The bedrooms are spotless and beds very comfortable. Location is good with a 10-15 minute flat walk into the old town.
