Windhoek Resort Bonaire

Our stay at Windhoek Bonaire was absolutely perfect. The facilities that are at the resort are simply everything you could wish for. The swimming pool has the perfect temperature, there’s a little shop that has convenient products like sunscreen and mosquito spray and, there’s a self service bar with fresh cold drinks. There are also things that are so good, you didn’t even knew you need it, like an ice cubes machine, cool boxes to take with you on trips and snorkeling gear. All free of charge. Also there’s a pool table, magazines and games you can lend. Then the apartment. It has everything you could need in an apartment and more! The bed with mosquito net is good, the shower is good, the spacing is great and the kitchen is perfect. In the kitchen you have everything you need. Even a dish washer. Also get housekeeping and fresh towels for in the appartement and the beach. When staying on Bonaire, Windhoek resort is the place to stay!

I was planning a trip to Bonaire with my 16 year old daughter and wanted to stay away from a large, all-inclusive resort. Of course I was searching for something safe and close to the beach. I also wanted the option to prepare food on our own as we did not wish to eat every meal out. Windhoek is the resort of my dreams. An oasis away from the center of town, this haven of relaxation was our home for a week on the island. The pool is pristine with an outdoor shower, comfy beach loungers and plenty of shady areas. There is a central kitchen and a stocked refrigerator with sodas/beer for purchase along with water and ice to fill your water bottle for the day and bring one of their coolers to the beach with you. Our villa had an open air living/dining area with the most comfortable hammock. The kitchenette is stocked with exactly the appliances and dishes you could need along with a magic mix coffee maker with complimentary coffee pods. The bedroom and bath area is equipped with a/c and a lockable door. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and a mosquito net covers the frame giving a sense of privacy as well as looking beautiful. The shower is large and luxurious with tiled floor and a rain shower head. Styling through the resort is modern and clean. We rented a 4x4 directly at the resort which was easier than dealing with the hassle at the airport. They have several car options available and our Toyota Hilux was the perfect ride to explore the island (I do recommend getting the 4x4 if you want to see the majority of the island). The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful. I could not have been happier with our time here and hope to visit again! The resort is great with all the needed amenities, a great pool and it is nice and quite. Furthermore they keep it clean and the staff is friendly and always happy to help!. We’ve returned now for the fourth or fifth time and it never disappoints. We will be back!

Very quiet and cozy place, accurate in the details of the villas, comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom . designed in African style, plenty of flowers and palm as around an infinity pool you can enjoy all day long. We had a lovely experience, went back from kiting every day for lunch and relax.

This I think is the 7th visit to Windhoek, and it never disappoints. You wake up in the morning to the sound of tropical birds. You walk out to the beautiful pool and you spot humming birds, if you're lucky a tiny iguana / lizard. If swimming in the pool in the afternoon you have dragonflies flying above you. Even if full, this place "hides" the guests behind stunning tropical trees / plants / flowers. I've hardly ever heard another guest except having a friendly chat around the pool. Super comfortable bed, and nice ensuite shower and toilet. Cleaning staff can't do enough for you .... lovely ladies. So many good places to eat within walking distance (no restaurant on site) for both breakfast and evening meal. Also like the very well facilitated kitchen, and that combined with a trip to VDT supermarket has lead to some lovely tropical evenings cooking fish / meat with a nice glass of something and the tunes playing. You've got toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, juicer, dishwasher, induction hob / oven, fridge and small freezer, every pot / pan/ utensil you could ever need. There is an "honesty" bar, so you will never run short of soft drinks, beer, wine, and on top of that an ample ice machine. The advice from the girls at "the front" second to none and nothing is too much trouble. Never had one but I'm told Sas's massages on a Tuesday are legendary. You won't regret a stay here.

Second time at Windhoek. Comfy pillows / strong aircon / impressively well equipped kitchen / calm / a pool that deserves its name. Loved the super comfy hammock! From the moment you arrive it feels as if you’d be staying at a friends house. From the design to the mattress to the very warm welcome… we absolutely love it here (again)
