Our stay at The Elephant Court was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautifully maintained, surrounded by lush greenery, and offers a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and well-designed with elegant wooden interiors. The staff were warm, courteous, and always ready to help with a smile. The restaurant served delicious Kerala and continental dishes — breakfast was a real highlight. The pool area and Ayurvedic spa added to the overall luxury experience. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Thekkady — a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and excellent service!

The Elephant Court has a large, green property and we enjoyed staying in a balcony room with good space and comfort. The reception was very nice with flowers, a blessing and a drink. However, our visit was during the rains and this clearly affected service—the staff struggled to keep up, especially in the dining area, which needed more hands when the restaurant was busy. Food was just okay, with limited vegetarian options, and even after pointing out the issue, nothing much changed. One major concern was monkeys: we had to keep our balcony shut all day, and a monkey actually reached our dining table during a meal. Such problems need better management, especially in peak season. Overall, our experience was just average. Pros: Large, lush green property with spacious balcony rooms Clean, comfortable room setup Staff at restaurant was very humble Good location for Thekkady attractions Cons: Poor service during bad weather and peak times Limited vegetarian food choices, issues not addressed Leaking bathroom during rain (110) Not enough staff in restaurant; slow dining service Monkey trouble—safety and comfort concerns Overall, average value for money compared to alternatives.

Lovely hotel, very busy so definitely popular! Some staff struggle to understand English, but manager looked after us in the restaurant. The Bar could do with some work - but otherwise lovely setting! Restaurant has a great menu. Rooms were very comfortable.

This is a decent choice for stay at Thekkady. We stayed here few years,back .Rooms are good but not so great. Expected better rooms. Bathrooms are decent. Rooms are provided with a good size balcony but room in which we stayed had view of Rooms of property itself. Services were good. Food was good. Staff at restaurant was very humble ,listen to us carefully and done best efforts to make our dinner experience better. KUDOS to restaurant staff. Overall a nice property provided with swimming pool ,good restaurant, different reception area ,however Rooms could be better.

Worst experience at the hotel Stayed for one night with family. We booked 4 rooms 1. on 17 aug their was a medical emergency with my sister , so we called reception around 6 am to send somebody to market for medicines.But till 7.30 nobody responded and eventually we had to go foe medicined to a nearby hospital. 2. At breakfast we ordered for grilled sandwich without mayo , but it was served with mayo.. we requested the chef to change but he argued that it cannot be done as the sandwich will get wasted.. 3. The curd served in buffet was sour and again the chef was reluctant to serve fresh curd stating that this is in house made so will be sour.. I dont know why management has hired such unprofessional and rude chef.. You not giving a free bites but charged for it.. I wont recommend this properrty to anyone Guys plss stay away.. They wont cooperate with you even in emergencies..

Warm welcome. Rooms are very clean. Food is also good. Swimming pool is also clean and well maintained. Greenery and silent atmosphere. Lovely place. Resort is very near to natural forest and periyar tiger reserve. Highly recommend. Overall experience is excellent. Love it.

Our group had a wonderful time in the Elephant Court. The service and food were great, the houses inviting and I enjoyed e. g. the additional massage very much. A highlight for me was the artwork which I received from Alisha. She covered my hands with the most beautiful Henna-Mandelas I've ever seen. The ladies in my group were also very touched about her work. It was just a matter of time, that they could not have this experience. Above the qualified Artwork, I experienced Alisha as a very friendly person, who gave my staying in the elephant court a very special memory.

This is a lovely setting for a hotel. It has a central reception, dining and pool area with rooms set in pairs on a gentle forested hill side. The rooms are spacious and have a nice balcony. The room had a split system A/C unit, which allowed easy temperature control. The restaurant offers a buffet with a wide selection of food. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the town centre. I think the room design squanders its natural strengths. The rooms have a lovely outlook but hardly any windows, making the room quite dark and gloomy. The room has a double door with 2 small ***** windows on either side, with difficult to use blinds on them. You can’t leave the door open due to marauding monkeys.
