Popular Kunming 4-star Hotels

My stay was absolutely wonderful. For a short 2 night stay at this charming establishment, everything went smooth as silk. Many gracious thanks to all the team that provided that extra soft touch to enjoy the property and the surrounding attractions. A special mention to Jessica whom went above and beyond in so many ways to assist with hotel formalities and to be available for language translations. Such a shining star! Thank you. I’ll be back!

We booked a tatami room with children. The bed was big, the room was separated into wet and dry areas, and it was very clean. The check-in front desk also gave children toiletries and a beverage package for Chinese New Year stay. The hotel breakfast was also good. The hotel is not far from the subway station. There are shared bicycles around, and it is very close to Nanping Old Street for dining. Overall, we were very satisfied and we stayed for another night.

I would definitely recommend CitiGo hotel. The service staff were all very friendly and helpful. My sister and her friend arrived in the early hour of the morning to the hotel. The staff was very kind to arrange an early check in for them so that they could take a nap comfortably in the room instead of resting at the sofa area of the hotel. The staff also arranged access to its gym for my daughter at 7.30am although the gym opens only at 10am. There was a wide spread of food at their buffet breakfast. Little gestures by the hotel like provision of small tube of hand cream (placed at the staff counter) was very much appreciated and it shows the hospitality and generosity of the hotel owner. We also realised that they serve wanton soup for supper to its guests. We were full from dinner to try it although it does look and smell delicious. Yes would come back to this hotel if I visit Kunming again.

The room was spacious and clean. Very conveniently located and lots of food options nearby. Breakfast was also very nice. Good for solo travellers.

Stayed here for a night for our flight home the following day. It was clean and the mountain view was very pleasant. The garden was enchanting and beautiful and I particularly love the roses.The breakfast was nice at an affordable price. The lady chef was exceptionally friendly too. The hotel manager was very friendly and allowed us to pick their apples at their garden.The only thing lacking was the amenities. Not easy to find a decent place to shop in our spare time. Highly recommended!👍

I and my 15 yo son had stayed in Jinjiang Hotel in the beginning of my trip in Yunnan and the end of my trip. It was my first time visiting China. We don't speak Mandarin Location: very close to Kunming Railway Station, around 10 minutes walk carrying luggage. Close to everywhere, around 2 km or 15-17 RMB by taxi to Shuncheng Shopping Centre, Nanping Pedestrian Street, Shuncheng Mosque, halal restaurant (only 5 minutes walk from restaurant), nearby shopping centre and department store. Service: excellent services, they went above and beyond especially Manager Ms Mei. She helped me so much to organise tour. All staff were helpful assisting me to get a taxi, show me the halal restaurant on the back of the hotel, show me the way to station. The hotel also provide welcome fruit and soup upon check in. Cleanliness; very clean Value for money: 4 star hotel yet very affordable with excellent 5 star hotel services. I would love to stay again in the future if I visit Yunnan.

The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary comforts. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I also got this pastry from them as my souvenir .Very Recommended ! 😍

I enjoyed my stay at Ruo'an Duiyuelou Boutique Hotel. It is easy access to the Kunming Metro system which can connect you easily to other sites in the city, the airport and train stations. I stayed at this hotel in late October and didn't have a problem with not having air conditioning. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities I needed for my three (3) night stay. It's very quiet and peaceful at night but a bit lively during the daytime hours. (The hotel does have a common area with tables and chairs that does not face the main street and is always quiet. It can be used if you need some quiet time to work or do things on your laptop.) Easy distance to the walking streets, malls, restaurants, etc. The staff is very friendly and always willing to give recommendations or advice on things in the area. There are English speaking staff which is also extremely helpful. I would stay here again the next time I am in Kunming.

Location of the hotel is great and convenient. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The Chinese breakfast every morning appears to be the same but it’s delicious. Only con is that the front desk does not seem very knowledgeable in the popular tourist destinations in Kunming and couldn’t tell me if I needed to book tickets in advance to Shi Lin (Stone Forest). But otherwise, the hotel itself is perfectly reasonable. Would recommend.

Very nice small, quiet, modern, clean and airy hotel built with in a traditional Chinese style. Room spacious, fully functional, and for our room a very nice balcony to relax and take in the sounds and smells of the numerous busy small shops in the side street and hotel main entrance below (Yukesi Jie Street -photo). Unfortunately the rooms do not provide a small fridge. Very nice staff. A limited Chinese breakfast is provided in the dining room. Location is a short(500m) walk from Tangzixiang metro station on the ”red/blue” line(photo), exit H with lift/escalator to Jinbi Rd.
