Hot spring Hotels in Kurobe

In the hot spring town of unazuki, the inn corresponding to the night stay may be relatively rare. Although there are not many options, there are no inconveniences especially because there are taverns and Yaki meat shops in the town. You can choose whether or not breakfast is available, but it was good to have enough types. In front of the station, the train fans seem to be pleased, but in winter, the trolley trains are suspended, so you can only worship the cover and stand on the track. The hot spring bath was on the top floor, and the view was good and relaxed, although there was no open-air bath.

This hotel is a bit past its prime and well into its twilight years but it still has plenty to offer to its guests. The check-in process was efficient but being the only foreigner in a somewhat remote area proved to be a challenge for my limited Japanese. Thankfully the clerk was patient with me and we muddled through. The onsen area was nice but the outdoor bath area was tiny and oddly directly under some balconies and a straight view from the convenience store across the way. Given you are naked, it felt pretty exposed but it wasn't a deal breaker. The evening dinner and morning breakfast was buffet style (you have time slots) and offered a wide variety of food. It was slightly above average for a buffet. Check out was easily completed at a digital kiosk though you do need to pay with cash at checkout. They offer a free luggage holding service which was very nice when you want to explore the gorge after check-out.

The master who said that he would stay in Toyama city because he could not stay in one person to participate in the Kurobe Namizu marathon. Unazuki Onsen? I didn't know, and I was listening from right to left, but I knew it was a tourist destination on TV I want to go together if I stay at unazuki Onsen. Entaijiso exceed my expectations. Right from the check in till check out, the staff gave us amazing hospitality. They made a vegetarian dinner for us (on prior request )which was amazing with about 50 items to eat. The breakfast buffett had a doable selection of vegetarian too. The onsens were superv. The views from the room were as per the description. The lady who checked us in was such a wonderful female. She was the only one who spoke english. She explained us all the things to use, helped us wearing yukatas, went with me all the way to show the onsen as I was confused with the floors. She was very patient with us. Other female ( although not fluent in english) was very helpful for us to transfer our bags to shinano omachi as we proceeded for alpine route. . Indeed it exceeded my expectation in all the ways. All my requirements were fulfiled. 1. Room with great views of the gorge in 5th floor 2. Traditional japanese style rooms with futon beds, yukatas, a coffee table to enjoy the view. Huge rooms. 3. Bathroom had separate toilet, separate basin and separate tub. Shower was in the tub. We had a bath at the onsen which had a huge selection of shampoos and all other amenities. U get everything u need. 4. The onsens were great. On one floor it had indoor onsen both male n female separated opposite to each other. The outdoor one has 2 floors which keeps on rotating b/w male n female. The top one is for females in the morning and men at night. The bottom floor is for females at night and men in the morning. 5. They have a car pick up n drop service till shin kurobe unazuki station which is about half an hour from unazuki station which is for local trains. You need to inform them prior. 6. The vegetarian kaiseki was also superv. Beyond my imagination. They had aubergine, rice, bamboo shoot, cold soba, desserts, rice balls,artichokes, carrot, pickles,mushroom, tofu,raddish, soy sauce, sweets, dessert. They were served in small bowls. U can add them to your hot pot or mix it with rice. Or eat it like one by one dish. We took one hour to complete the kaiseki meal so u can imagine the varieties served. We had a wonderful stay at Entaijiso.

I stayed in a barrier-free room because my husband had a stroke and had severe aftereffects of hemiparesis. I've been to other accommodations that have barrier-free rooms several times, but there is a ramp at the entrance to the guest room, a reclining bed, a handrail in the toilet, and a handrail in the bathroom, as well as a bath lift. It seems that bathing while looking at the superb view of Kurobe Gorge was the best time. I stayed 3 nights in a row, and both dinner and breakfast were so delicious that I ate too much. The response from all the staff was wonderful, and I was grateful that they prepared ahead of time for things I asked for once. There was a step between the entrance and the banquet hall, and the toilet outside the room was not barrier-free, but a slope was set up when my husband passed, so it was okay to move. This building is ２ minutes by car from unazuki Onsen Station, ７～８ minutes walk. It is saved because it climbs from the hotel to the station. The entrance of the hotel is just right, but it is because of the corona ridge or the front desk construction system is insufficient, so it takes time to guide. However, you can drink free coffee at the location (lobby?) when you are waiting. The room used a Japanese room, but the outlet is also rich. This hotel is truly outstanding. It has a century-old hot spring! Provides a memorable hot spring experience. I especially enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere and excellent service of the place, and the room was large (much larger than in Japan). Although the hotel has left a very good impression on the whole, the buffet at night may be slightly average. This is the only downside. Maybe the hotel can further improve the quality of the dinner to match the other excellent service levels. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Unazuki Station. Since there was a heavy storm that day, It was raining, so it was a bit awkward dragging my suitcase to the hotel. It was just renovated in 2023. There is a little smell in the room and the hot spring is very good! I paid extra to book a private bath. The water quality is so comfortable! The accommodation included dinner and breakfast the next day. The dinner was delicious. A male waiter could speak simple Chinese and had been to Shanghai. Basic communication was no problem. Breakfast the next day was still delicious. This hot spring area is relatively unpopular and there are not many online introductions, but it can avoid the crowds.
