Not worth 5 stars. We have a lot of experience with five-star hotels, and this hotel absolutely does not meet those standards! We recently stayed here for 8 days. Upon arrival, the hotel looks nice and attractive. The rooms are spacious, it has a nice pool, and the staff is friendly. The manager was present during the week we were there, and he was very kind. The food is okay, but definitely not special. The breakfast buffet is very basic and not extensive. The bread baskets they serve at every meal are filled with old bread from previous days (tough and hard). The hotel has few facilities and doesn’t organize anything. There’s little atmosphere, no music, nothing. There is one restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The beach nearby is nice for a short time, with the sea within walking distance, but later in the day, it’s covered in seaweed, and swimming becomes difficult. Power outages are frequent. The gym equipment doesn’t work! The cross trainer only has an on/off button, but nothing else happens, and the same goes for the bike. When you go to eat, the staff hovers around you, which doesn’t feel comfortable and makes you not want to linger at the table. You feel constantly watched. When you’re lying on the beach, the staff barely comes by to offer drinks or anything else. The location is also mediocre, with few nice bars or restaurants around the hotel, except for ”Scooby Doo.” Paje is a 10-minute drive away. Maybe this hotel would be suitable for older people who want to relax for a few days, but for young people like us (26 and 28), definitely not! A waste of money!! The reason we choose 5-star hotels is because they offer extra luxuries, better service, and more facilities. So, honestly, we feel a bit deceived.

The villa is very beautiful and peaceful. Stayed there for 12 nights with my boyfriend and we enjoyed the villa so much. All the staff are super friendly and ready to always assist to your satisfaction. The food is very tasty and always freshly made. They are not a five star villa for nothing, They deserve more stars ❤️❤️❤️❤️ This is a very safe environment as well.

It was our third time in Zanzibar (but the first in this hotel), this time it was a totally disappointment. We started with the worst reception ever at an hotel, with a grumpy employee who didn't want to take her time to explained anything about the hotel, nor even offered us a glass of water after a long travel. We didn't felt welcome. We had told them we would arrive at 10pm and we asked in advance to provide us something for dinner, but they just left us a horrible sandwich and a banana in the room, not even a single drink. For a family who payed for an all-inclusive package and didn't used it on the first day, we expected a little bit more care and concern. To this hotel, the top priority is the profit and never the well-being of the guest. Employees are always trying to sell us something, massages, wines, trips...it's annoying having all the time someone disturbing you, to try to sell you something. The most crazy thing was when my son made a small cut in the feet, in the stairs of the main pool and I asked for a first aid box, to sterilize the wound, but instead of provide us any help, they insisted with me to go to an appointment with the doctor of the hotel, just to forcing us to go to the health center, to give them some extra profit. Thank good I had medicines with me and I was able to sterilize the wound caused by the lack of maintenance of the equipment of the hotel. The stairs from the main pool to the beach need urgent improvements, the same at the swimming pool near the Masai Village, there are holes inside of the pool. They say they are against plastic pollution, as an excuse to don't provide water bottles to the guests, but then they use a lots of other plastics utensils and objects and they have garbage everywhere in the sand and they don't clean it. There are constant power cuts of electricity and several times during the night. The rooms are acceptable, but the bathrooms need urgent improvements, especially because the bathroom windows don't have glass, because of that the heat is always coming inside, so it's impossible to don't use the air conditioning. On the second night the air conditioning broke down and it was impossible to sleep, we complained to reception during the night and they said they would find a solution on the next day, but only after 4 complains in the reception they finally changed us of room. We had a late check out but they didn't let us keep the room and they weren't fully booked, so once they don't even have a proper place for situations like that, although they gave us opposite information, we had to take a shower in a room used by several people who were also checking out that day, they didn't even clean it between users, so the bathroom was disgusting, full of used towels piled up, dirty floor, This is definitely not the service you expect from a 4 star hotel. The All Inclusive is very light, most things are not included. Don't spend money on the seafood restaurant on the beachfront, the seafood tha

What a stunning resort! This entire resort is so beautiful! The grounds are gorgeous and the villa rooms were so luxurious it made us feel like royalty. The villas are very spacious and beautifully designed. Dipping in our private plunge pool overlooking the Indian Ocean could not be beat. The pool area and beach are lovely. Having our own assigned beach cabana area was a very nice detail. The entire staff was friendly and helpful...always smiling and offering a kind greeting. Meals were all wonderful and dinner often included local entertainment. On our last day, I was telling our breakfast waitress how sad we were to be leaving. She then arranged a special private beachside table with a special seafood lunch for our last meal in Zanzibar. It was a very thoughtful gesture and a nice ending to our wonderful time there. I am so sad that I didn't write down her name so I could thank her in this review. Our only other regret is that we didn't stay longer. We were just here 3 nights after a safari but it was the ideal place to relax after our adventure. I have traveled a lot but this is one of the most beautiful spots we have stayed.

TL;DR - you need to go here, it's incredible. Super kind people, incredible views, villas, and vibes. This hotel was the best we have ever been to, and for many reasons. Combination of the view, atmosphere, food, kindness, activities all added to an incredible experience for our honeymoon. We loved our time here, and are already planning on going back in the future. Not just that, but every single person here was incredibly kind -- maybe it's culture of the country, or the culture of this hotel, but every person made us feel actually *appreciated* and felt like we were genuinely welcome and happy to have us there. We have been to many hotels, all with nice staff with professional courtesy, but never truly welcome as if by a friend to their home. Amazing time!
