The best choice for a trip to Kyoto is to stay at the Aman Kyoto that I have always dreamed of. The Aman Hotel is hidden in a quiet forest, surrounded by greenery and a tranquil Zen atmosphere. This time I stayed in the Nara room. The room was very new. The large floor-to-ceiling windows on the first floor provided great lighting. The sunlight shone through the window into the room, and the hurried trip slowed down. The most unforgettable thing was the smiling faces and warm and thoughtful service of every staff member during the stay! This time, I made an appointment for two days of dinner and afternoon tea in advance, both at the Living Pavilion. All the staff in the restaurant were very polite and the service was impeccable. The dishes were very delicate and delicious. Next time I come, I will try Takaan. It was a great stay experience. I will come in autumn next time!

Stayed here for 2 nights. Location is good with less than 10 mins walking distance from kyoto station. The hotel provides free shuttle bus to/from kyoto station. Spacious and clean room. The optional breakfast with in the revolving French cuisine is stringlt recommended as can view the entire kyoto city

Hotel was standard hotel but the room size was big compared to other hotels in Japan. Smooth check in and check out. Location was very very close to Kyoto Station which was great when you have to go the airport the next day ;) Also just next to the hotel was bus stop or you can use Haruka for the airport bound.

This is the second Gracery hotel we booked in a year and we were not at all disappointed at Kyoto. Located in the heart of the city/ market: It enables you to have a backup for a rainy day, with a covered market to explore the moment you step out. Getting around was fairly easy by walking - even to Gion, etc. and the format of the room is good for a family.

Really lovely and cozy hotel! The location is perfect, situated right above Kyoto station and the bus terminal. The staff are also incredibly kind and helpful! The concierge staff was able to help me find my way around the area and could converse in English and Mandarin fluently. The beds are comfortable and there are a lot of amenities in the rooms. I didn't expect to see fabric cleansing sprays and clothing disinfectants, and it was very much appreciated. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I'm in Kyoto!

The hotel is very conveniently located and close to train station. In a few minutes walk, it will bring you to the river bank for morning jog. Facilities are kept clean and fresh. The communal springs are remarkable. The in-room TV shows you how busy the facilities are being used. The roof reception is cosy, simple and yet spectacular. Took a break from the city shopping tour and return to Hotel to enjoy a moment on the roof. Other provisions are generous, such as the snack bar on the reception floor. Overall speaking, this is a must return hotel for downtown Kyoto.

Majority of the things at this hotel was good, they had the biggest room out of the 3 accommodations we stayed at and even had onsen and other amenities and assisted in luggage delivery however their laundry was the only down side, it was too small and drying took too long and the clothes had a smell after the wash and drying

If I had to point out a slightly unsatisfactory aspect, it would be the inefficiency of the front desk service. When I asked for a recommendation for the nearest laundry service, they didn’t provide any suggestions at all and were quite perfunctory. Due to being in a hurry, I asked the front desk to call a taxi to the bus station for me. Instead of taking action, they kept saying that the roads were closed today and that taxis might be delayed, along with a lot of unhelpful comments. This wasted a few minutes. It would have been much better if they had simply gone downstairs to call a taxi and helped solve the problem. Overall, I felt their service lacked enthusiasm, which was something I was very dissatisfied with. As for location wise, this hotel’s location is UNBEATABLE. I would stay again for the location and nothing else
