As a Thai who's working in Tokyo, I feel like home here. The hotel is well managed amidst their small room. The staffs are more than GREAT; it is a good mix between Japanese omotenashi and Thai welcoming. The amendities do not come with cotton buds. I found some minor dust. The smart clock is not so smart. The food and bar is superb!!

Very smart, modern and beautiful hotel - themed around a Thai style hotel. The room was a good size and the bathroom was convenient. However, the toilet was really loud which made it inconvenient in the evening.

Terrible Soundproofing - Unable to Rest
The soundproofing in this hotel is absolutely terrible. Starting from midnight, there were kids running, screaming, and playing noisily in the hallway and the neighboring rooms. The noise carried through the wooden tatami floors, amplifying the disturbance and making it impossible to rest. This was a truly frustrating and sleepless experience. I do not recommend staying here if you value peace and quiet.

Pros:
- excellent service, staff can speak English well. Cleaning of the room was good.
- facilities are modern and clean
- amenities provided are good quality. Specifically, the razor and toothbrush
- restaurant attached to the hotel is very good
Cons:
- mainly the location, its in the middle of everything but that means its either a 20min walk to gion/kyoto station, or you pay for two stops in the train/bus then walk the rest of the way everytime you head out. If you like walking, then this is no problem.

ASAI Hotel was a delightful stay. The room, while compact, was well-equipped and cozy. I especially loved the comfortable bed and pillows. The friendly staff and overall relaxing atmosphere made it a great experience. I would definitely return.

Hotel staffs were really friendly and helpful, room is very clean and welcoming. Told them we were on anniversary trip, surprisingly got an handmade anniversary greeting card from them, thank you very much😜
