First time to Kyoto and wanted to experience ryokan stay and choose Hifumi ryokan and opt for dinner & breakfast and turn out to be excellent! But food actually too salty for me & my hubby but it was a good experience for us & just 3mins walk to Kyoto station

Our family needed accommodation close to Kyoto Station for an early morning departure. This ryokan was walking distance. The room was clean. While we ate dinner, the bedding was laid out for us in our room. I should have asked more questions about the meal because there were several things we could have learned (what we were eating, was there an order or way to eat the several small plates?). Some English was spoken, but very little. The onsen was available. It was a fine option for our family for one night.

The hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Japanese-style room is large and spacious, the bed is comfortable, and snacks are provided. Overall, it is a very good accommodation experience.

I spent my first night in Kyoto here. The location is great because it is so close to the train station. I was also able to leave my luggage there before check-in and after check-out and explore the city in comfort. The room was very nicely decorated in a traditional style and had good air conditioning.

I was a little worried because it looked old in the photos, but when I actually went there, it had a nice atmosphere. The location was great and the price was reasonable, so if I come back, I would visit again.

Very retro Japanese-style hotel, a good choice for traveling to Kyoto. The room is a tatami floor with a mattress on it, which is very comfortable to sleep. The room is fully equipped, but I don't know why the room was not cleaned the next day. There is a public bath with Japanese characteristics in the hotel. There are not many people and the environment is very good. The hotel is next to Kyoto Station, which is convenient for transportation, but the English at the front desk is relatively poor, so it is a bit difficult to communicate.
