I was grateful that the hostess was very kind and explained how to use it well. The atmosphere inside the room felt like a traditional Japanese inn (ryokan), so I really liked it.
I went alone, and since I only booked the accommodation to sleep, there were no inconveniences, but the downside was that it felt a bit far because it was a 30-40 minute walk from Kyoto Station, there were no restaurants nearby, and the bathrooms and showers were shared. There were some, but the rest was really good.
First of all, if you want a romantic atmosphere rather than convenience and good facilities, I recommend making a reservation.

It was such an unexpected surprise. My daughter wanted to stay in a Japanese B&B, so she booked this one on xc. It is not far from Kyoto Station. After walking through a few small streets, there is a Japanese cultural heritage corner house. When we arrived at the B&B, an old Japanese lady opened the door and asked us where we were from and where we booked the room in Japanese. Then she took us to the first floor and temporarily paved the way for us. The upstairs and downstairs guests were warm and thoughtful. What touched us the most was that she came upstairs to give us a flower and two pieces of matcha chocolate. It was a great experience.

It takes about 5 to 10 minutes on foot from the station, and it is a little difficult to find the way, but it is very accessible from Kyoto Station and is very affordable. The toilet (Western style) and bath are shared in one Japanese-style room. The room had a TV and a futon. There were no bugs (maybe it was November) and it was very clean. There were supermarkets and public baths nearby, which was very convenient. However, please be aware that there are not many restaurants nearby and that the toilets are small. They accept same-day reservations and stay at extremely low prices, so it's perfect for a trip with 1 or 2 people!
