Guesthouse Hyakumanben Cross

It's a 6-minute walk from Demachiyanagi Station, and there are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, so it's a good location. There is a kitchen in the shared space on the second floor, which is very convenient for those who want to cook for themselves. There are also free drinks, manga, and books. The third floor is a dormitory space, and it is air-conditioned and clean, but in the case of mixed-gender accommodation, the upper bunk beds are not completely separated, so there is no privacy, which is a bit tough, especially for women. The lower bunk beds have curtains that can be closed, so I think they're fine... There are showers and toilets on both the second and third floors. It's good when it's not crowded, but if it's crowded, it may be a hassle to wait in line. There is a curfew, and you can't go out until 6:00 in the morning, so it may be a bit inconvenient for those who want to go out early in the morning.

The bed is very soft and the space is bigger than I expected. The landlord is very friendly and gave me a small gift made by her when I left. I have kept it in my passport. I highly recommend this hotel. It's very warm.

I stayed for a long time. I had confirmed beforehand that towel rental was charged, so I brought my own, but for long-term guests, one pair of bath towels and face towels were lent for free, and the washing machine was also free, so I was able to spend a very fulfilling time with a lot of perks. Also, the facility was very clean, and the shared space was comfortable, so it was a very nice guesthouse that made me feel at ease every time I returned. The staff were also kind, and warm-hearted, saying "See you" and "Welcome back." If I come to Kyoto again, I would like to stay at this guesthouse.
