Hotel Legasta Kyoto Higashiyama Sanjo

This hotel has been the worst in Japan. They never clean the rooms probably and provided stained and dirty bed sheets. when we requested them to clean it, they said they did clean it already but you could see previous customers stains. And the worst part is, they hire a cleaning service as a third party and they dont know who is coming and what kind of cleaning that third party company does

EXTREMELY dirty rooms. Beware that this “hotel” does NOT do their own cleaning, they use a third party company but also don’t know who enters the rooms. Very unsafe. Rooms are left FILTHY, with unknown hair pieces and liquids are left on beds. Had to ask for cleaning back to back; sadly it got worse. Floors are not vacuumed or cleaned; oppositely, you can see liquid stains left from previous people. Pajamas are thrown on the bed. Bathroom has toilet paper pieces and unknown hair. Staff and the manager are unable to provide any service they promise on the website. Had to find another hotel and leave this place ASAP because of hygiene concerns. They provide free scarf for each positive review, hence there are limited positive reviews online.

The good reviews must be because guests don’t check or know their rooms haven’t been cleaned Beware!! This hotel doesn’t offer cleaning. They work with an external party, who left our room dirty two days in a row. They threw away the toothbrushes, threw our pijamas on the bed, left hair on the floor. We kindly asked the hotel to clean the next day. They didn’t even change the sheets after a 3 day stay Very sad & disappointed- we had stayed here 2 years ago, and now the manager doesn’t speak English or do anything to fix this. He was laughing on the phone instead of providing a solution The hotel doesn’t know who enters your room. We are leaving early and will dispute the stay, as it’s unacceptable the hotel doesn’t know which cleaner enters your room
