The hotel is nested in a quiet corner, within walking distance of Sagaogurayama Tabuchiyamacho. Im however a bit disappointed with the limited facilites it offered when compared to the price we paid. We stayed in the Tsukinone Twin Room which is on the third floor of the building. The view is pleasant. The room is of decent size. Yet there were no public onsens. We need to pay YEN5000 for 45 minutes and there are only 2 private onsens. For more luxurious rooms with private onsen, the one I visited was on the ground level with no views as it were by the pathway to the reception , separated by wooden planks. We paid around Yen5000 for the breakfast in the hotel, Both western and japanese breakfasts were offered. We tried both. It is of standard. The 4 different juices presented on the top of the bento box was impressive. The vaccinity is pleasant. We could walk to the train station, the tourist rown area , the nearby parks and the world heritage sites. Nice area .

Kawaramachi
This luxury boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail is impressive. Every aspect of the guest experience has been thought through. From check-in to check-out, we felt like VIPs. The room was as beautiful as it was comfortable. Food at the Geand Café was spectacular. Perfect location, with several several buses stopping right in front of the hotel, making exploring Kyoto very convenient. Short walk to Gion and other interesting areas. The only area for inprovement would be offering a wider selection for breakfast. It was excellent, but we wished there were additional options. Will return next time I’m in Kyoto!

The design of Hideout Shop is very fashionable, and the room is very large. Although there is no view, the windows are very large, so there is plenty of light. The location is good. It is about ten minutes' walk from Kyoto Station, and Aeon Mall and Porta are ten minutes away. There are also multiple parking options nearby, which is very convenient. The shop also provides free coffee, house wine, beer, juice, ready-to-eat soup dumplings and snacks, which is very considerate.

Room was very clean and comfortable, though pillows were a bit flat. I liked that the bathroom had a separate standing shower area and bathtub, instead of being combined like many Japan hotels tend to offer. Could do with some hooks for hanging your clothes though. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety, they even serve ice-cream. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel.

Gion/Kiyomizu Temple
Very satisfactory hotel! The overall decoration is exquisite, the design is classical and elegant, especially the toilet and bathroom equipment are great! The windows are very soundproof! The hygiene is very clean. There is Chinese service at the front desk, and breakfast is delivered to the room on time. The taste is good, fresh and rich. The transportation is also very convenient. I recommend friends to choose this hotel. It is recommended to equip the first-floor windows with curtains, which does not feel private enough.

It's not worth the price, so don't choose this hotel. There is no doubt that all hotels in Japan are very hygienic. This hotel room is almost freezing in the winter, because Japan does not have floor heating, only air conditioning. The glass is single-layered, and the air conditioning stops running at some point, so we are all very cold. I called and got a small heater that was worth ten thousand a day. Breakfast is a continental dish that looks rich but has not adapted to Chinese people! My husband is a European and even he said that I could at least have a bowl of porridge while staying in a hotel in Tokyo for 3,000 days. And I am already very tolerant of things. If you don’t believe it, please go and see for yourself. There is ice cream, but not xiaolongbao, and no rice porridge. Porridge is only included in the set meal. I was stingy when I chose that set meal and didn't let you choose the buffet. I didn't eat much, but I thought the hotel layout was too low! And the set menu cannot be selected every day. All in all, I won't come back to this hotel again, it's so stupid.
