Chalets Chamarel

The views at Chalets Chamarel are breathtaking! Our room was lovely, with one side facing the forest and the other facing the sea. It was peaceful and comfortable, perfect for relaxing. The food was okay, but some dishes could have been better seasoned. Overall, it’s a great place to stay if you want to enjoy nature and unwind.

I don’t think there is any view that could beat this one. I had to pinch myself from time to time to make sure that I wasn’t dreaming. Aside from that, the cabins were beautifully designed and decorated, the bed was very comfortable. The service staff was friendly and attentive. I really liked the furniture of the dining area. If you seek to relax and unwind I guess there’s no better place in Mauritius. For exploring the island I don’t think it would be the best base, since it’s taking a while to get up there. Therefore it’s really close to the seven earth, the waterfall and the Chamarel national park itself, since the chalets are basically inside the park. There’s only a few little things that would be nice to have, like a coffee machine in the cabin or oatmilk as cowmilk alternative in the restaurant. Altogether we enjoyed our stay to the fullest.

I went there to celebrate my wive’s birthday. The views were just breathtaking. It’s the best place to relax and cut off from daily routine. The staffs were very polite and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and well decorated. The food was delicious. Will definitely go back there next year.

We felt very lucky to live in a beautiful chalet with a fantastic view over the Indian Ocean All members of the team were very friendly and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner with this wonderful view over the ocean It was the first time we could see these huge trees and plants in the rainforest that we have in small pots in our living room in Europe We will recommend Chalets Chamarel to our children and our friends (and everyone)

Came here as part of a honeymoon trip and stayed for 5 days. Ideally I think probably 4 days is as much as you want in order to explore the full area. Staff are so accommodating. The food is fantastic every evening and they even offer tea and coffee and cake between 4:00 and 5:00 in the afternoon which is included. Drinks also so incredibly reasonable, mini bar in room and water replaced daily and the staff cannot do to make you feel like you're on holiday and to relax. I would like to thank everybody from security, cleaning, reception and all staff behind the bar and restaurant area for such a fantastic stay. Moving on to the accommodation. It is in the most beautiful spots you could imagine. The chalet itself has everything that you could possibly need and the 360 views are absolutely idyllic. Please ignore any reviews regarding roads being dodgy they are not. What do you expect when trying to get to such a remote location? It's just a bit of the beaten track but we drove to and down it daily. This really is an absolute unique gem. And the flowers, special touches on our honeymoon will remain forever. Tourism tips: Coloured sands luckily we got in for free. Not worth paying or visiting. Ebony forest do visit - lovely reprieve of a cafe with beautiful views half way round The chalet Chameral has a vast menu but also offer lunch Bring deet although you can eat inside but why would you want to?
