We saw this Chateau online and the photos were very inviting so we booked a two night stay with breakfast. I pre advised the Chateau that we would need help with our cases and on arrival we were met by the most charming young woman Britt Jeanneau who had her team ready to help. We were then shown to our room and first impressions were good, however on inspecting our room we found a hole in the wall behind a curtain stuffed with paper to camouflage it. The newly installed shower looked good but on having a shower the water went everywhere as there was no door and the floor was flooded with water, not good. We asked for extra bath mats that were provided. Breakfast was minimal, not enough products on display several people were asking for more bread cheese etc. we had booked dinner for one evening and the food was nice, cooked by the owner but the service was slow, slow slow. The staff however were very friendly and welcoming not like the owner who was in reception on our arrival. No acknowledgment at all, the owner however in a loud voice said "I do not speak English ", sounded like perfect English to me. I could not understand this as she later spoke to my husband in the garden. As a host you should put aside your personal feelings and welcome all of your guests. What made our stay tolerable was Britt, she was charming, helpful with local information and is an asset to this Chateau. However, we will not be visiting again.
