The worst hotel and experience in history. I originally booked 2 nights and canceled immediately. Fortunately, Ctrip subsidized our second night's room rate.
1. Arriving one hour late for airport pick-up and lying to us. First, they said they couldn't pick us up where we were staying (but obviously all hotels and guests are picked up here), and then they continued to lie to us that the driver had already arrived, making us look for it for a long time, which was very outrageous.
2. The shower head is made of starch, the quilt is a thin sheet, and there are no paper towels. I asked the front desk and they said it was in the toilet (toilet paper).
3. The conditions are difficult, not even as good as one or two hundred domestic express hotels. Chinese people don’t lie to Chinese people. Kuairun

There was only one bottle of water in the room (I guess the purpose was to buy more if there was not enough). I went to the front desk to inquire. There was only one bottle of water in the room. Two people should have two bottles of water (this phenomenon rarely occurs when staying in a hotel a hundred times). The front desk 💁🏻♀️ It was said that you can go to the dining service on the 6th floor to get another bottle (I thought it was just a refill at the time), and they would be charged for a bottle of water when you checked out the next day. I was angry at the time, but after an argument, I didn't charge it, but I felt very bad.

We stayed 4 nights at Sunset Hotel. Our room had a fabulous view, was clean and appointed well for the class of hotel. The star attraction of the hotel is the rooftop dining, bar and pool. An amazing place to watch sunset with a cold beer. Food was basic but very tasty and well prepared. The price point for the restaurant is excellent value. The Nasi Goreng for breakfast is the best we've had so far in Indo! The Flores coffee is great and a wonderful way to kick start your day. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Front office has reasonable English and can help you with most things. It’s a bit of a walk to the Labuan shopping *****, fortunately the reception can provide a ride into the Centre for approx. 50k IDR. They will also pick up and drop off to the airport, very useful and will do pickups in town too, just use what’s app to connect with them. The hotel is a bit “tired” but everything works and for the price it is an excellent place to stay. And yes, it lives up to its name. The sunsets are incredible. We would happily stay there again. Hot tip - Resto Sesto Senso is just 100m up the hill - fabulous Italian fusion food. A secret treat.

We love this hotel. Great view. Room very clean. Staff very friendly. They provide transport for us to travel to the city. They provide pick up and drop of to the airport. They provide safety box in the room, easy for us to keep our valuables in it. I recommend this hotel.

Pros : Beautiful view. Unfortunately, the sky was cloudy so, we didn't get a nice sunset. All rooms have a balcony and over looks the sea. The rooms are old school but well maintained. Beds are comfy (medium hardness). Bathrooms have good water pressure and water heater. Towels, shampoo & body gel are provided. There is a tiny lift but you still will need to go up a flight of stairs before the lift. The restaurant area is open air and very breezy when we went up in the morning. Free WiFi. Free shuttle to town at 7pm and return at 9pm. Free airport shuttle. Its like not more than 10 mins from the airport. Mini fridge and kettle provided (need to request). Cons : Accessibility : Not walkable to anywhere as the roads are pretty undulating & there is no grab/gojek car, only bikes. Hotel transport is 50k per way. There's a pretty steep flight of stairs before you get to the lift. Not recommended if you have problem with stairs. But to be fair, it does seemed like most accommodations have steep flight of stairs that you need to navigate. The AC doesn't cool down the room enough even at night. Most probably because of placement of ac and not serviced.

Staying a week here in Labuan at the sunset hill hotel, the room has an amazing view over the ocean. Rooms are ok and clean, with AC, balcony and a bathroom with shower and toilet and toiletries. The safe does not work at any room. At the 6th floor there’s the restaurant and a pool. Every evening there’s a shuttle service to the kota (town) from 7-9pm and the pickup point is across the kfc. Staff is very friendly
