Check in is perfunctory, quite disinterested and doesn't have the welcoming experience. Rooms are showing some age, still somewhat clean. Mattress not as firm for a good night's sleep. To get the laundry list and bag seemed a real chore. It was not replenished when the room was cleaned when it should. Even after requesting in person at reception, had to call them again. Breakfast buffet is below par, basic Asian and some cereals. Their is no egss station. Once served poached eggs were practically uncooked, and the replacement took over half an hour. Under staffing. I must give credit to the three waitresses working non stop, clearing and cleaning the tables in between serving the

Ayana Homestay is situated in Labuan and offers a garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 1.7 km from Tanjung Batu Beach, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The holiday home has 3 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a fully equipped kitchen with a toaster and a fridge, a washing machine, and 3 bathrooms with a walk-in shower. The accommodation is non-smoking. Labuan Airport is 2 km from the property.

Stayed in Deluxe Queen Room Comfortable bed, clean room. A hairdryer is available but not strong enough. The only downside is you will not be able to sleep early here due to the singing from outside nearby pubs, bars, karaoke places until 2:30 am. Especially noisy on Friday nights. Saturday night was ok, noise level only until 1:30 am. If you are a family with kids, this is not a recommended place. Since I am a solo traveller and I don't sleep that early, so this hotel fit my budget and my condition for a good stay.

The Hotel is well furnished and the staff are well trained. In all my interactions with the staff I have found them to be professional and courteous. As I am in a quarantine room the meals are provided in a plastic box and arrive fairly cold, however I understand that it is logistically impossible to provide steaming hot food to each room. The food is quite tasty inspite of the temperature. Amenities are ver good.

I've stayed here and book a hall for my cousin birthday celebration. Doesn't expect their hall quiet big and can make a wedding here. The location quiet strategic , the centre of the town,where all the place just a walking distance.

This is my first stay at AZ Hotel. I used to stay at Labuan Point Hotel near the Labuan mosque. The wife n me comes to Labuan often to golf at Labuan International Golf Club n the very challenging 9 hole Labuan Golf Club. This hotel impressed me immediately. The bed was king size n the decor was minimalist n comfortable. Wifi in the room is very good. Its cheaper than the Labuan point hotel. There is ample facilities such as a mini bar,a safe,a TV n a good view out of the window. There are good restaurants at the lobby floor n good perfume shop as well. Night entertainment spots n lounges is just par 4 n par 5 away.There is a super market just across the road from the hotel in case u needed snacks or toothpaste etc. On the whole very impressive at a good price.i would have stated 5 stars but for a burnt out lamp at the dressing table!!! The hotel is old, so be prepared for very dated rooms. It is clean to some extent. Staff are extremely friendly and very hospitable. As for the breakfast, options were limited and repetitive so if you’re not too particular about it, then you should be fine. The non-buffet dishes from the restaurant itself is actually pretty decent. You’d normally expect high crazy prices for just a plate of char kuey teow at other hotels but the prices for the dishes here were very reasonable. One other thing I noted when walking to my room was, what I initially assumed, the smell of sewage wafting in the air, but it’s actually the kelapa sawit planted around the hotel and they emit very foul stenches. Thankfully, the smell doesn't seep into the room. Now the bad part that sort of ruined my time at the resort. They don’t maintain the beach, like at all. It’s clear that they do not clean up the trash on the beach nor do they comb it. Be prepared to get attacked by sand flies everywhere you go. There are so many of them that they can even be found by the pool area and the restaurant. I would’ve loved to enjoy more time just lazing under the sun, you know, the main purpose of going on a beach holiday but I couldn’t because I was essentially the feeding source for an army of sand flies. The pool doesn’t have a lot of shaded areas too so just ensure that you are covered with SPF from head to toe if you are prone to burning. As stated, it was a decent stay. I just wished they’d maintain the beach because the water in Labuan is nice, calm and clear.
