Great time. Nice carriage ride. Tour guides were a little cold but not horrible.

Fort Wilderness is the best. Housekeeping is so friendly and do an excellent job with the cabins. My only gripe is with some of the bus drivers--let me be clear, MOST drivers are awesome people, but some are just plain rude. If the signs on the bus clearly stated where they were going next, it would reduce the need to ask questions about where the bus is going (especially since the sign will say Magic Kingdom, instead of its true next stop, Wilderness Lodge). During our last trip in January, we checked in and walked to the the bus stop. We didn't see the crosswalk so we walked in front of one of the 4 parked busses. The lady yelled at us and honked the horn as we got to the curb. What a great way to start a Disney trip! Oh and you need to rent a golf cart--it's a must--otherwise you will be waiting for busses all day.

Our favorite campground in all the USA. There are so many activities here that just aren't available anywhere else. Free boat rides to the parks, free bus transportation, horseback rides, pony rides, the list goes on. The sites are nice, with varying levels of sizes and hookups cable TV is good, but the internet depends on which loop you get, some are being upgraded and have fast speeds, others it is useless. Bring your A game when backing into your spot, some of them are kind of tight!

They put us in a site that was not large enough for our rv and it was noisy with hardly any trees. We could not open our slide. We requested to b moved so went from 600 loop to 1300 loop. site is okay and has trees. But early this morning woke to them cutting down trees noisy and not peaceful. The whole campground is under construction everywhere u look forget about going on bike path there is not one and we loved going watching the deer . I am sure they have vacated the area due to all of construction. Hardly any beach left either. Frankly put this is the most unmagical place I have been. Here for my son’s birthday but doubtful I will b back anytime soon. Would have been nice to know ahead of time that all of this construction was going on. So if u have a trip planned here u might want to rethink if u r looking for a peaceful camping experience.

We have been staying in the cabins at Fort Wilderness annually for years. When we heard they were replacing the old ones with new more modern cabins we were a little disappointed until we stayed there last month. The new cabins seem more spacious and are brighter. The murphy bed in the living room is much nicer that the old pull out couches in the old cabins. The full kitchen is a big plus. We don't like to eat park food for every meal, every day. I don't mind cooking breakfast and dinner (most nights) in the cabin plus it's a good break from the parks and much less expensive. We love the private deck and grill and just the idea that we can walk outside get in our golf cart and enjoy nature. We see wild turkeys, dear and other wildlife. Transportation to the parks is very convenient. The campground amenities are plentiful, playgrounds, pools, campfire, night time outdoor movies just to name a few. This year my granddaughter dropped a figure from one of her playsets behind the bunkbed. Of course they are attached to the wall so we could not move it to retrieve the piece. I called maintenance and asked if they could. We were at the park when they arrived and by the time we got back the piece was on the dresser and the bed looked untouched. That's Disney magic, or at least that's what the 7yo thought.

Been many times for holidays, so no surprise it’s busy. Actually, we were prepared for bigger crowds and everything to be chaotic. It really hasn’t been! Not one lightning pass purchased and we’ve done all the big rides! Cast members in park are great this trip! Christmas wasn’t busy at MK, we had a great time! We have been able to park hop up to 3 parks a night! Guest have been amazing to talk to! It’s truly been a magical holiday time visiting at one of the busiest time of the year. I would tell anyone to do it! Make sure you bring little trinkets and rent golf cart. There are fb grounds for scavenger hunts at the Fort so cool! If coming for Christmas bring a stocking and set it out. These campers truly make your time here amazing! Do your research!! The only down side to our vacation has all been Disney’s problems of lack of cast members in certain areas, communication and proper routine maintenance. Our comfort station hasn’t been kept up at some point of our trip. My 18 yo watched them walk in look at the mess and leave on golf cart. No cleaning was done. This morning my 17 yo said they were disgusting when he ventured up there and went to a different comfort station. Buses not running in timely manner. Excuses after excuses. Bus drives saying bus broken, online chat and phone calls saying Disney Springs at full capacity. If that was the case, us and the 40 other people would have loved to know so we could have made other plans instead of eating an hour waiting for a bus to never show up! We could’ve went back to camper to eat, found something outside of Disney or went to the boardwalk if proper communication was done via management and cast members. We got there and it was less busy than Dec 26th! many guest missed movies and were on phone with dining reservations. Off the clock cast members texting their friends getting to bottom of things. Estimated time board has been broken for months according to regular guest. They were just her 6 months ago and it’s still broken. Lots of improper planning and routine maintenance not being done. It’s a shame! Broken rides, ice machine was also broken. We talked to maintenance on 26th about it bc there was a sign on it and asked if it was going to be fixed soon and he had no idea or who had but sign on it. May have been another guest. No work order done on it! Horse riding was subpar. No pictures taken! We were told we could and were never given the chance to. My 13 yo was very upset, her horse was beautiful. We had to lock phones up and were told at then end we could get pictures. Never happened. My dad showed up to take one and was treated rudely. We have had better services in Saint Joe beach l, st Augustine and Brown county state park (Indiana) than here for horse riding.

This is the 4th time that I've stayed at Fort Wilderness in Walt Disney World, Florida. This time, I was there for 45 nights. They do make you leave after 27 days, stay off property for 3 nights, then you can return. Our first site was 109 and then we relocated to 111. We love the 100 Loop as it's only steps away to the Settlement and the boat that takes you to the Magic Kingdom. Our stay was truly magical! There is so much to do at The Fort. Even if you aren't a fan of the theme parks, you can keep busy here for weeks! We loved walking over to Crocketts Tavern, people watching from the rocking chairs on the porch, and enjoying one of their delicious moonshine cocktails! The Halloween and Christmas decorations are so lovely! I took free Pickleball lessons this time. The coach was wonderful and I learned so much! I also signed up for the Backwoods Segway Tour. This is my second time and I can't recommend it enough! The guides are wonderful! We rented one of their golf carts for part of our stay. It's fun to go "Jingle Loopin" at night to see all the holiday decor. My hubby and I took the trail ride on horseback to celebrate his 89th birthday! So much fun! And easy. We have camped in dozens of RV parks across the nation. This one is the best.....and always feels like "Coming Home!" I would be happy to answer any questions , if anyone needs help with planning. 😊

Disney annual pass holder for a few years and consistently stay at different Disney resorts with the family including 3 young kids. This time we stayed in cabin 2744. Would not recommend. Dirty, gross, uncomfortable knowing how dirty the cabin was. Gnarly nail clippings & skin calluses tangled with excessive hair and dust. My anxiety was high knowing we had 3 expensive nights there. Cabin wasn’t cleaned once. For the amount of money they charge (and bring in) it makes my blood boil. Unacceptable

We chose to stay at the cabins because our parents were coming down in their trailer and we liked the idea of being on the same property. We rented a golf cart which is a must for the property. Everything is super spread out and they make it way more convenient to get around - this was the best part of staying at this property. For the astronomical price of a cabin it is definitely not worth it. I would take your money and put it towards literally anywhere else and take your savings to the parks. -The cabin was super dirty and run down. The couch had stains and there was dust on everything. We also rotated the couch to make it easier to watch TV and when we moved it there was a bunch of garbage underneath from previous guests. Also if someone is sleeping on the pull out request extra pillows to sleep on or that thing will kill your back. -If you have any allergies to pets make sure you stock up on Benadryl. My sister is allergic to cats and long haired dogs. Spending excessive time in the cabin her eyes would water and swell. She woke up feeling terrible everyday and once we were out of the cabin for 30 minutes she was better -Construction for the refresh is loud and smells. I get there isn’t much that can be done about that but be aware. We were in a loop beside one being rebuilt and on our rest days they were banging and dropping equipment at 8am. Also pretty much all you can smell is diesel. In addition to all of the cabins re-done they are re-doing the waterslide so it is closed. - There is nothing Mickey or really Disney themed in the cabins or on the property so I wouldn’t expect a “disney vibe” if you are staying here -Finally the staff all seem pretty miserable. We had to call multiple times for towels because they didn’t leave any (or take any dirty ones) on the house keeping days. We usually had to call two or three times before they brought them. Every time you talked to anyone they were super short and we felt like we were inconveniencing them by being there. At the end of the day I know people have had good experiences here but for us it was wildly bad. If you aren’t die hard campers with previous experience at this resort my recommendation (for what it is worth) is stay anywhere else and don’t let it become the dark spot on your vacation like it did with us.
