"Thank you for your hospitality" is a phrase I often use when leaving someone's home, or a vacation resort on the beach. Because I leave with a feeling of being "home/with all the amenities". This is exactly how my husband & I felt for the 2.5+ months extended stay we had at Hillview Cottages. I could write a BOOK listing all the great things with this location. But I will surmise it with, the Host, Mr. Tom, his lovely wife Michelle, rest of family and their staff made us feel SO DARN WELCOME. We stayed in the Chalet (OH MAN IT IS BEEEE-AUUUU-TIFUL), we were lucky, and it had EVERYTHING in that 2 bedroom lovely space. Especially the view...what a lovely, relaxing, serene, calm, beautiful, peaceful place. It's exactly what we needed. Our stay was from late Winter to early Sprint. It was so great to be able to COOK and not eat junk food/have to do expensive food orders. We had never been to Lake George before...suffice it to say...WE ARE GOING BACK...to Hillview Cottages too, don't really want to try out any other places. The host, Mr. Tom, staff (the lovely Fallon, Chris, Kara and others) are some serious hard working, but jovial and respectful bunch. And Mr. Tom's wife had us cracking up every time we met up. We were in Lake George for almost 7 months on business, we went from hotel to hotel, then we found and spent the last 2.5+ at the Hillview Cottages and we felt so blessed to be there. The business trip turned into a lovely "home away from home" vacation...as we were so very relaxed. Thank you guys for making us feel so welcome, thank you for your hard work daily on the property, and thank you for giving us someplace lovely to visit, come Fall season! That's where we will be headed. All our best for the coming Summer season. The property is exactly as the pictures attached...quiet, peaceful, beautiful, woodsy, rustic charm, great view of Lake George, with all the amenities.

I traveled to Lake George with a party of 3 plus my dog for the Ice Castles last weekend. We booked the 2-bedroom chalet at the Hill View Motel and Cottages. When we were on our way to Lake George, we received word that the Ice Castles had been cancelled for the weekend. We were already in-route for the hotel but knew that our two night stay was no longer necessary given the cancelled plans. When we arrived, it was past 9:00pm. We called the contact person and explained the situation. She reached out to the owner for us who agreed to cancel our 2nd night and not charge us even though we were under contract. Given the late cancellation and the near-impossibility of re-booking the room for the following night, the owner was under no obligation to be so accommodating but he was incredibly gracious. I give this place 5 stars not only for the outstanding customer service but for also for the beauty of the chalet. We thoroughly enjoyed our night at the chalet and found it to be clean, comfortable, and the view was absolutely breath-taking. And my dog loved it too! I had to literally carry him to the car the next morning because he refused to leave. We were all thoroughly impressed with the Hill View Motel and Cottages and cannot speak highly enough about the customer service. Superb.

Endroit en retrait de Lake George, avec un accès à la plage via le blue lagoon resort. On a tombé sur un méga orage pour notre arrivée et l'accueil était fermé, il y aurait eu une note à notre intention nous indiquant le no. de chambre qui nous avait été assigné. À la place, car on a loupé la note, mon chum s'est mis à la recherche de notre chambre en essai-erreur. Ouvre une porte, des draps défaits, une autre pas barrée un couple couché (oups désolé ), finalement une propre donc on présume que c'est la nôtre. Ordinaire comme début de séjour. Check-in le lendemain matin, c'est encore fermé. Par chance le 2e matin, c'était ouvert et on a pu payer notre dû pour continuer notre séjour de 3 nuits. On a éteint la clim et c'est devenu humide, les araignées se sont mis à sortir de sous le lits. Donc mon conseil : ne pas éteindre la clim! Les points positifs : petite cuisinette et frigo bien pratique. Bbq au charbon disponible. Salle de bain très propre et récente.
