Super good location and right in the center of the town. Can view the shepherd church from the balcony. However equipments in bathroom are bit old and water temperature is unstable.

The bathroom had a really foul smell, and even with ventilation, it didn't help; it was coming from the toilet, which was quite nauseating. The main advantage of this place is its location, being close to the lake, so you can easily walk there at night for stargazing. The accommodation itself is pretty mediocre. For the same price, you'd find better lodging in Wanaka, but I guess this is just how it is in Tekapo.

The location is good. You can reach the lake and watch the beautiful galaxy from the back door of the room with just 5 minutes walk.

Absolutely fantastic! The location is simply unbeatable, right by the lake, and our room offered direct lake views. We stayed on the second floor, and carrying our luggage up was a bit of a hassle. A room on the ground floor would have been even more convenient!

I didn't manage to book a room with a view, which was a bit of a shame. However, the hotel is right by the lake, so it's easy to step out and enjoy the scenery. They have their own parking lot, which is great for those driving. Late at night, the fire alarm suddenly went off, and there was an announcement to evacuate immediately. I was already asleep and it really startled me; it felt quite urgent and brought everyone out of their rooms. The staff handled the situation quickly. It turned out to be caused by a guest in room 202 misusing a hairdryer, and everyone was soon able to return to their rooms. Overall, everything else was good, and the staff were all very friendly.
