The afternoon tea was £22.50 each and was worth the money. The staff were lovely especially the lady on reception sure she said she had been there a month but we arrived early and was allowed to sit and wait inside and if we wanted an drink from the bar whilst waiting and the Scouse man was always checking if we needed any more drinks and explained what we was eating exactly when serving us the after tea. I also had an accident and spilt my bru all down the table cloth and he was very understanding when I told him. Would definitely recommend.

Sorry, but not good enough. We arrived at 3pm, our room was cold as no heating on . Complained to reception who said it was about to come on. Still cold at 4pm, more excuses about heating system. Eventually came on at 5: 10 pm but took another 30 minutes to heat up Went for a pre dinner drink at 7pm and the bar area was cold. No fire on. Went to music room , no fire on there either. Went for dinner , dining room was cold and draughty. Food was good,as was breakfast, and staff were lovely. We have been here on several occasions previously and loved it . I appreciate the problems in the hospitality industry at present and can sympathise but the basic things in running a top hotel are not happening and regrettably I won't be coming back

We stayed at Broadoaks Hotel (Pine room) for one night to celebrate my husband’s 30th, and it was absolutely perfect! The hotel is stunning, full of charm, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. They even helped decorate our beautiful room for his birthday surprise, which was such a thoughtful touch. Service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. Everything was seamless, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a luxurious, intimate getaway, Broadoaks is the place to be! We’ll definitely be back!! Thank you for making our stay with you unforgettable ! 🎉✨

Having treated friends to Afternoon Tea at this location on many occasions over the years, and enjoyed it immensely, I was looking forward to this visit. Unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations due to the decorative changes that have been made since my last visit. The bar and dining area have been refurbished/redecorated with stark white plantation shutter style blinds, white walls and light wood laminate flooring replacing the parquet /carpet and curtains that gave the rooms their cosy country house ambience. The addition of white opaque glass folding doors half way down the dining room did nothing to improve the overall impression - it just looks cold and uninviting. The only colour in the room came from the cheap lime green paper napkins that replaced the linen napkins that I'm pretty sure were supplied previously. The actual afternoon tea had changed too, but was still very good, although not as plentiful, as we did manage to eat it all! I'm not sure why the menu is now stuck inside the first pages of a Jemima puddle duck reading book either. Seems a bit of a silly gimmick to me and just got in the way on the table. The staff were lovely, and overall it was a nice afternoon, but I won't be returning as, for me, this refurbishment has ruined a lovely bar and dining room, and I really don't want to see what they might do to the cosy lounge, which still has a lovely cosy country house ambience but for how long? I'll keep my memories of the hotel as it used to be.

We had a afternoon tea, it was lovely great quality. Nice, friendly staff. The atmosphere was relaxed and we could have tea or coffee. We took home our scones. Lovely food, all homemade and tasty. I would definitely come again. Great value and it was a treat.

We got married at Broadoaks in October 24, we knew from the moment we drove into the driveway when visiting potential venues in the Lakes that this was the one. The venue itself is beautiful & has so much charm & character. It’s traditional with a modern twist - each bedroom is unique & detailed, the beds were the comfiest we’ve all ever slept in! The staff we dealt with were amazing from start to finish - from planning to the day itself, everyone we dealt with were so helpful, polite & friendly- it actually felt like they were part of our wedding party! We had a small wedding with just 36 guests & it was perfect, so intimate and personal. We had the ceremony & meal in the orangery then used both rooms for our evening party. The food was amazing & there was plenty for everyone -we cannot fault a thing. The grounds looked absolutely stunning in their bright, vibrant autumn colours and we had the perfect weather glorious sunshine & bright blue skies which allowed us to have our reception drinks outside & our photographer too us down to the lake for photos. A special mention to our lovely wedding coordinators Kitty & Issie who made the day run so smoothly nothing was too much trouble & to Taran for accommodating the guests that decided at the last minute to stay over. We’ve actually just returned from visiting Broadoaks again last night & we felt equally as welcomed and as special as we did on our wedding day. We can’t wait to return again & make it a regular special occasion. Thank you everyone at Broadoaks you’ll forever hold a special place in our hearts!
