This is an update to my restaurant review May 2024. My wife and I visitied Baan Kum On restaurant last night - November 15, 2024 looking forward to a lovely meal and outstanding service as experienced on prior occasions. I am sorry to report that none of the previous staff or the owner, Joy, were present. It turned out to be a horror show. To be honest we were "attended" to by some freak who treated us like trash. As we were leaving without receiving our meal which we cancelled, he/she even demanded we pay for the bottle of water served to us. I have NEVER been treated like this before in my life, and my wife and I will NEVER return. If you want an even better meal than Baan Kum On, AND to be treated by welcoming and gracious hosts - the chef, Sandor, is Dutch and cooks fabulous food, and his Thai wife is Jook - THE TULIP RESTAURANT NEAR THE BUS TERMINAL, LAMPANG - you won't be sorry !

Although Baan Kum-On is listed as an excellent hostel, it also has a fabulous restaurant ! The food prepared by highly qualified chefs, and service by the friendly impeccably trained staff are exquisite. The owner, Joy, takes incredible pride in her establishment which has been run by 3 generations of her family. Try Baan Kum-On - you won't be disappointed - it is without doubt the best restaurant in Lampang !
