Exemplary food. Very best service. We lived very nearby a few years ago but returned today for a Christmas visit and it was so good. Very efficient service. Food SO good. Lovely atmosphere in the bar after such a good meal. Hugely attentive and friendly service. Child friendly.

Beautiful county pub. All the staff were really friendly and the food in the restaurant was amazing. It’s in the middle of nowhere so very tranquil and lots of places to go for nice walks. The rooms could do with some minor updates but the bed was really comfortable. We enjoyed it so much we’ve booked again for next month

A lovely clean comfortable room, nicely decorated with a good sized bath. We had an enjoyable evening meal in the bar and a delicious breakfast. The only downside was that our room was next to the dining area so was quite noisy. And Otherwise a pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay, very friendly welcome, as free a long trip, we had amazing food, a very comfy room meant a great nights sleep! The breakfast was generous and very well prepared. Thank you to the team if we’re passing again we will definitely stay.

We love this pub and have stayed a few times. It's lively and fun and the bedrooms are perfect, the service is very good but we found the food to be very ordinary this time. We would love some local ingredients to be on the menu like Morecambe Bay Prawns, local Lancashire cheese (maybe a soufflé?) a Lancashire hotpot? Just a thought! We will still always stay when travelling from London to Aberdeen because we love the ambience and the outdoor seating areas and the staff etc etc.

First visit to the Fleece Inn and having now been there , it certainly will not be the last . the staff were very friendly and made you very welcome . I would like a wee mention relating to Daniel . He is from Germany , speaks excellent English and in my opinion a credit to the company / establishment .

Lovely hotel, pub and restaurant. Great friendly service. Beautiful building and garden. Very comfortable room and rain shower was just glorious! Food was generous and delicious including breakfast with a whole pot of coffee! Would love to visit again when up that way 😊

Fantastic late lunch today at the Fleece. Beautiful food, fantastic service. Two of our group had the steak baguette which looked as good as they say it tasted. Our little girl had the children's pizza and fries, she.loved it. Another in our party had the steak pie with garlic mash and veg. I had the Kings and Queens starter which was beautiful. A great afternoon, thank you.
