The hotel is budget-friendly and located in a residential area. There are excellent supermarkets and fresh produce markets nearby, making daily life very convenient. The staff are friendly, and BTS Wongwian Yai is about a 15-minute walk away. It’s also close to Wongwian Yai Station—perfect if you want a local-style trip to Maeklong Market via Maha Chai on the local train.

Pros: Very convenient shower - plenty of space for toiletries, spacious, and with great water pressure. Nice room with a balcony. The air conditioning works very well. Breakfasts are excellent: shrimp, fruits, many chicken dishes, and all meat dishes are clearly labeled by type of meat. The room includes a fridge, kettle, and drinking water. There is a swimming pool and a gym. Convenient access to a large shopping mall. There is also a supermarket and a café on the premises. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back! Cons: The drinking water at breakfast didn’t taste good. The Wi-Fi didn’t work well on the first evening. The towels were very old, grey, and worn out. The bed linen didn’t seem very clean.

The hotel is in a great location a few mins from a main train line with easy access to icon Siam and very easy to get onto the Sukhumvit line. It’s 2 mins to 7/11 and plenty of food places around. It’s down a quiet soi so it’s not noisy. The young lads behind reception are very good and help a lot if needed. The Lady needs to take note of them and learn to not be so cold and stern. Small rooms but very clean and functional.

This hostel offers excellent value for money! I was out exploring and knew I'd arrive half an hour after the latest check-in time. I contacted both the hostel and the platform, and they kindly waited for me for an extra 30 minutes. The staff member was super friendly and even spoke Chinese, making the check-in process smooth and easy ᖰ⌯'▾'⌯ᖳ. Plus, the bed was incredibly clean, and the duvet smelled lovely 😍 I really loved it!😜 The restrooms are on the 3rd floor, with very clear signs. The hostel is right next to a subway station, which is incredibly convenient. And there's a 7-Eleven just a short walk away (about 200-300 meters), making it super easy to grab water, breakfast, and other essentials 😚. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Bangkok!

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and for the price, it's virtually unbeatable. It fits perfectly into my travel plans. Right outside there's a huge 7-Eleven with everything you could possibly need, even self-serve Thai milk tea, plus many street food stalls for breakfast. I recommend booking a higher floor (5th floor and up) for peace and quiet. The best part is the small balcony where you can smoke. The AC unit is on the balcony, so there's some white noise from it – it's a bit loud but consistent, so it didn't bother me while sleeping, but something to consider. Below the 5th floor, you might encounter small insects, but at this price, I can tolerate it. It’s a 5-minute walk to the BTS Skytrain, specifically the side with an elevator, and it's just two stops to Sathorn Pier for a boat trip on the Chao Phraya River. If you're planning to visit the Maeklong Railway Market, the hotel is a 10-minute walk to Wongwian Yai (sorry, I can't spell the station name) train station. A 10-minute taxi ride south from the hotel gets you to a durian buffet, and a bit further south is the Indy Market. I probably won't be returning to Bangkok as I've seen enough, which is why I'm finally sharing my tips. All in all, it's a five-star review for its price point, no contest. The AC works great, and showering is fine (though you need to bring your own toiletries). The front desk is staffed 24/7, and communication in English is seamless. Dddd

The location is super convenient, just a short walk to the subway. You need to add them on WeChat to check in, so I recommend contacting the owner beforehand, otherwise, waiting in the heat is unbearable. There's a morning market and a night market nearby, perfect for those who love to shop. Chinatown is only 800 meters away. This place is ideal for people who don't need to shower, lol, because the bathing facilities are really inconvenient. The owner has a lovely voice and is very gentle, haha, but that doesn't make up for the shower situation.

First of all I will say that staying here was one of the highlights of my trip. I was solo traveling and I wanted to spoil myself on the last two nights, and staying at the Amdaeng definitely fit the bill! The location, right on the river, was incredible and I had a view from everywhere in the room. The bathtub was a huge plus after a long day of sightseeing, and the balcony overlooking the river provided a beautiful spot to sit and reflect and have a drink or some food. I will definitely be back to stay a little longer, next time.

Just got back from Bangkok, and my stay at the Sathorn Star Hotel was absolutely fantastic – I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok! The hotel's biggest plus is its location. It's only a 3-5 minute walk to the BTS Wongwian Yai station, which offers direct access to Siam station. Downstairs, there's a 7-Eleven and numerous authentic street food stalls with super affordable prices (each dish is less than 20 RMB), making daily life incredibly convenient. The hotel owner is *********, so there's Chinese service available, making communication completely seamless. This was a huge comfort for us first-time visitors to Thailand. The owner is very welcoming and proactively offers travel advice, and can even help arrange airport transfers and private car services, which saved us a lot of hassle. (Bangkok traffic is notoriously busy; we arrived at 2 PM on a Saturday, waited 20 minutes for a Grab, and the taxi fare plus tolls ended up being more expensive than the owner's airport transfer offer 😭). We were two adults and two children, and we booked the Japanese tatami room. It was cozily designed and very well-maintained. The cleanliness was also satisfactory, the bedding was comfortable, and house-keeping was provided daily. The facilities are in good condition, and there's an elevator, which is very convenient for guests with luggage.

Quite hard to find at first if you are arriving in a taxi because you will have to walk a short distance to the hotel but once you are at the hotel the lobby and front of hotel is very nice. The room is spacious and has everything you need, the aircon works brilliantly and the beds are comfy. The staff members are polite and happy to help. The view from the rooftop is beautiful and it is in a good location for travellers to get either boat shuttles or if you need to get on the metro line. The only downside i can say I had from my stay at this hotel is that it can be slightly noisy at night with the rooms having thin walls so I was woken up once or twice during my stay but this is nothing a pair of earbuds can’t fix. Overall a great stay at a good price right in the heart of Bangkok, would definitely stay again.

Very good if you needs to use BTS. It’s only 5 mins walk from the hotel. A lot of restuarant nearby. Close to Icon Siam. Their is very nice and welcoming. Ps. The parking is a little small.
