With close access to the Ashuwillticook rail trail and a short drive to convenient shopping and restaurants, this is a perfect location for your Berkshire getaway. Relax on the private back porch, or in the large bath tub. Cook meals in the full kitchen, or do some writing at the desk with views of the pond. Sleep in late in the king sized bed, and then enjoy what the Berkshires has to offer! 5 minute drive to Lakeview Orchards, 20-25 minutes from Lenox, Tanglewood, and Kripalu. 30 minutes to Mass MoCA and the peak of Mount Greylock (less to the start of the trails, if you want to hike it yourself!). 5 minute drive to Jiminy Peak, 45 to Berkshire East and Butternut ski resorts. 20 minutes to Notchview for cross country skiing. This is a unique old house, and you will find nautical books and artifacts, as well as trinkets from around the world. Please note that there is no TV. The spiral staircase is one of my favorite features of the house, but it is narrow and steep, so please take care. If there will be more than two guests, and you require complete privacy from those staying on the couch downstairs, you might want to rethink, as the house is small and the bedroom upstairs is a loft. The bedroom upstairs has low ceilings - but with a comfy king sized bed, there's no need to stand up for too long, anyhow! In addition to the full bathroom downstairs, there is a half bath on the second floor, so one does not have to navigate the small staircase after bed time.
