Very nice hotel, the rooms are magnificent: very large and very bright with a small balcony overlooking nature. On the other hand, breakfast is not edible. Very good memory despite everything.

Certainly beautiful hotel and located in an excellent location. I only give three stars however because the breakfast is absolutely not up to the price paid (spaghetti one morning and meatballs the next. No fruit, no jam and juice with no choice). In the evening, as soon as we arrived, we had dinner but without being able to pay in pesos. The reception staff however were very friendly and efficient

Very old hotel in the middle of all the nature. The nature is beautifull and many birds fly around. The rooms are very big all looks a bit old but not to bad. The restaurant is simple not much choice also the breakfast is very simple. Down the hill is a place where you can drink a good cup off coffee. The swimingpool is also very out dated but good to relax a little. Not much to do in this area just enjoying the nature and go for a nice hike in the forrest.

Good price-quality ratio. Average hotel, but in a very beautiful area. There are many beautiful walking routes, with something for everyone.

I was bicycling in Cuba for 5 weeks and this was the best place to stay. Take a chair overlooking the valley, get a drink and count your blessings! You can also sit in the bathtub ( with a large window ) , or on the balcony and enjoy the great view. It is all very relaxing and inspiring. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are really nice, breakfast is good to Cuban standards. With diner they tried to make the best with the ingredients they had ( and that was a little when I was there :-)

I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a 3-week independent trip around Cuba and I absolutely loved it. It was the most welcome respite after 4 nights in Havana and I was so pleased I decided to go here (desite some of the previous reviews - you must remember this is a rural hotel in Cuba). Las Terrazas is a beautiful and tranquil place and Moka has the most perfect location from which to enjoy it. My room was really clean and spacious (2 comfy double beds, plenty of storage/hanging space, safe, fridge, A/C, ceiling fan, fabulous bathroom with huge windows overlooking Las Terrazas' natural lanscape, some toiletries, excellent water pressure, quality loo paper, and a large balcony with furniture to enjoy yet more stunning views. I thought it was wonderful. The bar and restaurant do a good job (typically Cuban fare and limited choices.....not a problem for me), but there also other lovely dining options in the village, as well as a wonderful coffee bar - all with the same relaxed atmosphere and wonderful views. Above all I found the staff to be absolutely delightful - every one of them was professional, pleasant, helpful and friendly. Not once did one single member of staff pass me by without smiling and greeting me. Furthermore, due to some unusually bad weather, at various times the hotel (and the whole area) was without running water, electricity or internet. The staff took great care of me and gave me good advise. Actually I felt blessed to have had no option but to just spend the odd hour or so sitting on my balcony watching the most spectacular and dramatic thunder storms.....then pop to the hotel bar for a mojito Honestly, I was sad to leave and I would happily have stayed longer. I loved the vibe of Las Terrazas - it was good for the soul to slow down, relax and enjoy the wildlife and scenery. If I ever return to Cuba, I will definitely return to Moka (and it's so close to Havana).

The hotel design is the mark of an era. It’s a pity the brackish room smell, the moist sheets, the general lack of maintenance if the room and facilities. Pool area was closed and the pool itself empty, on maintenance. Tennis court abandoned… Dinner and breakfast were terrible. Friendly staff. Nice bar situation inviting for a afternoon “aperitif”. It wasn’t catastrophic but I can’t say this was a good experience.

The surrounding are amazing, the air is clean and fresh. The hotel is old, lamps and plugs doesn`t work. The bed was made with a pee sheet.....? No one showed us to the room to show us wat did or didn`t work. The staff seamed disengaged and never once left the reception to help us. We extended our stay, wich causes us al lot of unnecessary trouble, running to the reception to reactivate doorkey, wifi etc. one at the time. Could have been done by staff without causing us the trouble. Fortunately there is a very nice restaurant in the village and also a nice coffehouse. Breakfast coffee at Mokas restaurant was not hot, and non of the restaurants or the bar, delivered what was informed in the reception, when we arrived. The hotel and the service was a great dissapointment, but the village and the surroundings was amazing.
