Returning to the Auberge du Choucas was all my pleasure and privilege. The restaurant, enhanced by beautiful and tasteful music , is the perfect combination of the best French Cuisine and a comforting elegance. Every taste exquisite. ❤️ I will return. With Friends. Years ago we took my parents there for their 50th wedding anniversary. My children adore it and love the cheese board. It was the place that made me want to live in Monetier les Bains. It is always excellent. And quietly joyful. Thank you

We liked: the pleasant welcome (you still have to speak English...), the large king size bed, and the dinner (however it was not gourmet), the breakfast buffet was plentiful. We liked less: the overall ultra-imposing kitsch decoration (faux beams, flowers, lace, frills, dark wood... too much of everything), the toilets and the bathroom are much too small, the black seals of the bathtub, the poorly lit room (old grandmother's lamps), view of the south (view of the buildings opposite), complicated to park. The old chalet atmosphere of the 70s really ruined our stay.

The auberge has a very tasty kitchen. However, an overnight stay is not recommended. Old-fashioned infrastructure and overpriced with a breakfast that was not very fresh. Also be careful when ordering drinks. They are very expensive (9€ for a capucino)

Very good stay in this authentic inn. Small cocoon that looks like an old manor. 4 of us came with the aim of having a good New Year's Eve. We have not been disappointed. The room is small but functional. The meal is excellent, it is a strong point of the establishment. If you are a wine lover, the varied and well-stocked cellar will definitely please you. Big plus for the kindness of the employees, despite some organizational problems sometimes. Apotheosis with the New Year's Eve menu, perhaps a little too long. It’s a shame because every dish was really good. Thank you for this wonderful vacation. PS: to make breakfast perfect you can offer scrambled eggs

Le jeune homme qui nous a reçu était plutôt accueillant. Quand nous sommes arrivés, il n'y avait pas la clefs de la chambre, l'Hotel n'avait pas de double et il fallait demander à chaque fois d'ouvrir ou de fermer la chambre. c'était réglé le deuxième jour. Le petit déjeuner est un peu léger pour un 4 étoiles, Le restaurant est correct, mais pas gastronomique. Les chambres sont assez spacieuse, mais l'hôtel est vieillissant. Le personnel était très gentil et très attentionné. La patronne quand à elle était plutôt sévère avec son personnel et de plus pas très commercante.

Petit hôtel niché dans le vieux village derrière l’église. Chambres suffisamment vastes avec WC séparés (qui mériteraient toutefois d'être moins exigus!). Propres avec suffisamment de rangements. La meilleure surprise est la restauration. On se retrouve dans un véritable restaurant gastronomique avec, des amuse-bouche au dessert, une succession de plats parfaitement réalisés. Le seul bemol est peut-être que le diner dure un peu trop longtemps avec des serveurs qui changent les couverts et les assiettes à chaque plat...Le service mériterait plus de simplicité. Notre groupe a apprécié l’endroit et l’accueil de l’ensemble du personnel et de la propriétaire.

Bonjour , j'avais annulé une réservation sur BOOKING et j'avais contacté l'hötel pour effectuer une réservation directement . A la suite de cela , j'ai envoyé un mail pour modifier les dates : 1 nuit au lieu de deux et ensuite pour janvier/février : une semaine en fonction du ressenti . Non seulement , je n'ai pas eu de réponse , mais la somme de 310 euros a été débitée . J'ai préféré ne pas rappeler afin d'éviter un clash téléphonique . Je pense porter plainte . DR ROBERT LACUEVA

Hotel ancien avec une belle architecture. La nuit est très calme, pas de bruit nuisible, chambre confortable. Coté restaurant, un gastronomique n'est pas un restaurant ou on "se gave", les quantités ont été jugées correctes. Quant aux tarifs des menus, tout a tellement augmenté que malheureusement les restaurants répercutent les hausses. Les serveurs présentaient très bien et ont été très courtois et très au service de la clientèle. Maintenant, chacun est libre de juger si cela lui plait ou pas. Seule remarque personnelle, je rajeunirai les nappes et assiettes du restaurant tout en conservant la gastronomie telle qu'elle est.
