Novotel Bourges

Came to the bar to order a G&T for 13.00. The ice and garnish were placed in the glass with bare hands, tonic was from large bottle of Schweppes not an individual serving- really appalling service & experience for the price. I would expect considerably better from Novotel

Nice clean and comfortable rooms of a good size. Seperate toilet is a little odd but functional. Good facilities (gym with treadmill, bikes and weights, outdoor pool) and helpful staff. Breakfast is great but dinner is hit or miss (would advise eating out in Bourges).

Novotel is a Novotel. However the steel fence around it, covered in green plastic hides on the ground what you can see from the 4th floor! A seemingly old block of a hotel full of immigrants or refugees, causing hell, fighting sleeping on bench’s uncontrolled. Hotel is very hot too, room 435 has less air-conditioning than a car 30 years ago. So open the window and listen to the refugee camp fighting of a chair etc. Not the best. Breakfast ok, pull out beds are singles so each child gets a bed rather then rolling into each other. However not to be repeated.

Perfect location for a stayover with children. Hotel-staff was very friendly. Rooms are ok, swimmingpool is great for the kids. Dinner was amazing on the buffet where gambas, and a lot of other food. Quality of the kitchen is good! Perfect location for a stayover or even to stay a couple of days

Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Booked simply as a convenient stopover, it turned out to be a great place to stay. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The food was good, breakfast an amazing array of items - scrambled eggs really excellent, a good test of the chef. Room was spotless and quiet, great idea to have double set of doors to the corridor, it does cut down corridor noise. Very well managed hotel. Enjoyed watching the rabbits, from our room window, in a neighbouring field. Will certainly stay again if passing this way.
