Exceptional Service and a Memorable Celebration! We recently celebrated Grannies 90th birthday at Hopetoun Arms restaurant with a group of eight, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. They accommodated our requests with a smile and ensured that Granny felt truly honored on her special day. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for such an important milestone. We were permitted to bring our own cake for desert too! The team even surprised my grandmother with a special birthday card, which brought a big smile to her face. A huge thank you to the entire staff for making this celebration so memorable. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for excellent service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere!

Dont miss this town on your Scotland tour. Beautiful old town in the middle of nowhere. Dead quiet---like you are back in the 1800s---hotel is wonderful---food out of this world--people so friendly---make the trip to Leadhills for a night or two !!

What a lovely, very friendly hotel. We were stuck at the nearest motorway service station as our campervan had broken down. The owner, Rab, picked us up from the service station, as we couldn't get a taxi. Rachel was at the door when we pulled up to welcome us. The room was very comfortable, quiet and roomy. Breakfast was very good, with a good selection of cereals and fruit, along with a cooked breakfast and the coffee was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel

Our first time using overnight pub parking . Parked our camper van on the hotel car park and enjoyed a delicious meal in the lounge bar, a warm lounge with an open fire with an equally warm reception from the bar staff. Well recommended for future overnight campers.

My nephew booked a room in the hotel for his 50th birthday party. We stayed overnight with a lovely breakfast in the morning. Such comfortable beds and well fitted out rooms. Could have had a dance in the shower room. Well done the owners and staff for a really good experience

What a gorgeous location and hotel. Very rustic and cosy feel with a small car park around the back with a decking area overlooking the fields. The rooms were cosy yet had modern bathrooms. The beds were comfy and supplies of toiletries, tea, coffee and magazines were greatly appreciated. The venue offers food as well (before 8pm) for both restaurant service and take away. I would personally recommend the ribs. The breakfast offered is fresh and enjoyable with apple or orange juice on offer as well as flavoured tea, full English or Scottish breakfast as well as a few continental options. The staff were friendly and attentive. There is a convenience shop next door for any on the road supplies too. A car would be recommended for this hotel but I would certainly recommend.
