Stunning property, fabulous accommodation, exceptional service. The spa treatments were top notch and the facilities clean and relaxing. The pools are a must! Had dinner in the Garden House- elegant and casual at the same time and the food was so delicious I returned again the next day. Finally a top tier get-away from the hustle and bustle of London; I have already booked a return trip! I stayed in the spa cottages- highly recommend as well, although any accommodation here would suit. Truly enjoyed and have not had service this good anywhere, to be honest! Go on and book, you won’t be disappointed!

We recently stayed at Beaverbrook to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway. It was a surprise trip, and from the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded all expectations. The hotel itself is simply stunning – full of charm, beautifully maintained, and set within immaculate gardens that are a pleasure to explore. We were pleasantly surprised with a lovely room upgrade, which added an extra touch of luxury to an already special stay. The service throughout was outstanding. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely friendly. The personal touches – like the handwritten note left in our room – made us feel truly welcomed and valued. Dining was a real highlight. We're huge fans of Japanese cuisine, and the Japanese restaurant at Beaverbrook was easily one of the best we've ever experienced. The dishes were not only beautifully presented but bursting with flavour. The hostess was fantastic – taking the time to explain each dish as it arrived, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Every meal we had, including lunch on our last day, was superb. The facilities at Beaverbrook are also top-notch. We played pickleball on their free courts, tried out padel the next day, and even used the stunning pool area after checking out – a real bonus! Everything was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained, making it a joy to use. This was our first time at Beaverbrook, and it absolutely won’t be the last. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable stay – a perfect mix of luxury, relaxation, and genuinely caring hospitality. Highly, highly recommend!

Do not stay here ! This has been an incredibly poor experience with Beaverbrook hotel. I'll provide a detailed summary below Number one when I booked the hotel the two nights with my daughters they took payment three times from my debit card and none of these went through and was shown as pending on my account. As a result a very large sum of money was held on my account and I couldn't get this money back onto my account for over a week and as a result I missed my mortgage payment and as such this reflects on your credit rating. No one in the senior management got back to me about this I should have trusted my instincts and not stayed at the hotel although I continued with my booking and when we arrived at the hotel the first day in our room the heating wasn't working at all. Its done by under floor heating and the temperature didn't get above 16° and as such the room was really cold and I ended up with a fever and was really sick and had to go home the next day. I asked the hotel to credit one night of my stay due to the fact that the heating wasn't working in the bedroom and they refused to do this I then arrived home and on the next day to my dismay they had taken nearly £900 out of my account with no e-mail no phone call no justification for this not even a phone call does ask me how I am and how I'm feeling. It turns out that overcharging by nearly £400. The remaining amount was for a number of meals we had at the hotel during our limited stay. It then took nearly two weeks after chasing multiple times to get the money refunded which they overcharged me for. This has to be the worst five star experience I've ever had with any hotel and even if these even if these occurrence in occurrences hadn't have happened I can let you let you know that the quality of the offering there is poor. Depending on where you're staying you have breakfast in different areas and you are not allowed within the breakfast rate to dine in other areas only in the area that's designated for you. Upon having breakfast in the garden area taken there in the cart by Jose (Jose who is the warmest and very nice out of all the staff working there the rest of staff don't make any eye contact on our incredibly cold that sort of traditional British coldness we've become accustomed to and lack of warmth we've come to class as normal in the UK) there was no one to greet us, and Jose had to look around for a member of staff to seat us. This whole breakfast experience is very poor constantly asking for coffee and to be served in a timely way. It could be quite clearly seen that the male member of staff was not happy working there and the most the work was being delegated to a young lady but it was but was woefully understaffed. Lunch at Mrs Beeton's was passable, with better staffing, but their rendition of kedgeree was really quite awful. It was basically boiled rice with some vegetables and fish added in, with no attention to spicing, and it was really poor. I can tell you th

Visited for a spa day ( or rather morning in my case as we had an event to go to ). First impressions- it's nice, clean and tranquil. I arrived just afternoon 9 am on Saturday morning and was the only person in the spa . Outdoor pool was lovely and warm, Indoor pool - was also quite warm - it's personal preference but I prefer colder water to be able to do laps though appreciate its family pool and therefore higher temperature. No cold water plunge facilities either. I agree that layout of spa and changing rooms is a bit odd and post treatment I didn't have a lounger to myself as all 4 were occupied. Massage was nice -but not to my liking as was not working through any knots - personal preference but I prefer a treatment where my body feels like new after . Anyway, it was okay overall. What I did find quite odd is that firstly, the spa receptionist took me on"a spa tour " choosing to first head to the kitchen to get water for another guest without offering me any . Odd borderline with rudeness and totally unnecessary. When asking that same lady whether I needed to book deli as my partner was looking to join me for lunch I was told ..... "Oh no, that's not allowed " . My partner did join me after for a coffee as I figured it's best not to ask questions as the answer in most cases was " No, it's against the rules" and we did have a coffee and cake but it's beyond me why after solo spa experience I can not have a lunch/coffee with plus one . Staff in cafe were very nice but what I did find quite unprofessional is that I asked for an oat latte and was served dairy instead. Thankfully I am not allergic but considering recent lethal cases when served allergen I am amazed staff were totally blazze about it and didn't seem to care at all. The hotel itself was nice- main building a bit underwhelming inside but grounds are beautiful and very well looked after. Overall , mixed feelings -I might be back one day but not in a hurry.

We have just had a lovely 2 night stay at Beaverbrook, and i was so looking forward to it. Overall, it was lovely, with the hotel and our room being beautiful, well appointed, and comfortable. The estate is huge, and it was lovely to spend some time cycling around it on the bikes provided by the hotel. The food in the restaurants was all a thumbs up from us. We ate lunch one our first day in the Deli, and on our second day in Mrs Beetons. Both delicious. Dinner was equally lovely in the Garden House on our first night, and special mention needs to go to our fantastic waitress whose attentiveness, friendliness and knowledge was outstanding. I feel bad at not being able to recall her name, but we did give her our feedback on her outstanding service on the night anyway. She also made some incredible Espresso Martinis! Our second evening was dinner in the Japanese Grill which was nice, but not exceptionally so. Our biggest disappointment was the spa unfortunately. It is decorated beautifully, but just always felt like there were too many people milling around and not enough space for people to sit and relax. The layout is a bit disjointed. There is a relaxation area which is by the treatment rooms with a few beds which always had people on them - and we got the impression was supposed to be for people just after treatments ( although there still wasn't space after my massage). The indoor pool has some beds but they were always occupied or had towels on them, and it was too cold in February to use the beds next to the outdoor pool! I noticed another hotel guest who was heavily pregnant, who was also disappointed at having nowhere to sit and relax. I understand that spa days are an extra way to earn income, but i do think that if you are selling yourself as a Hotel & Spa complex, there must be ways to manage guests and numbers in a better way to ensure people just have nowhere to go. I had an amazing massage, but then had to just sit in the Deli and eat some lunch before leaving as there was nowhere to sit and read and relax. Even the hydrotherapy pool ( of which there is just 1) is too small for the number of people, and just has 4 beds next to it which always had the towels of the 4 people in the pool on - so you could neither get in or sit next to it! As a regular visitor to Chewton Glen, i wanted to give this a try as it looks so beautiful. But Chewton Glen never seem to have these issues with the spa, making it a much more enjoyable stay if the spa is important to you. Overall - pleased we went, but would not choose again for a spa hotel break.

We have just returned from a weekend here with family. The hotel grounds are very impressive and we were blown away by the sheer extent of the estate. The rooms were nice, plenty of space and nice finishing. Every surface has something on it though so a night mate if you have “stuff” you need to put out. Not huge amounts of storage so only great for a couple of nights (which we were). The spa facilities were lovely and well appointed, surprised though that despite it being a brand new offering, the layout was odd, most places changing rooms have direct access to the pool. Japanese restaurant was very enjoyable, unlike other reviews, i think it’s where you expect it to be in terms of value. Bar service was good and attentive, with great drinks selection. We did have some issues with plumbing in the village, however it didn’t overly detract, it just meant we had people coming and going to repair, or water everywhere in bathroom. Breakfast buffet in the village is a sorry affair however, i mean put some actual effort in, this is not meant to add drama, it would look at home in any standard hotel charging much less. Was also a shock to then find the hot food chargeable despite the poor continental offering. All in all, another fine resort in the country, are there better, possibly. I think where others have done well, is making the service feel relaxed and at home, the service in most instances here are a throw back to the old school style of service, some may prefer it i guess.

The Japanese restaurant is living off its past reputation . The food, regardless of other supposed rave reviews, is not nice, & very expensive . Many dishes seem to have little authenticity to Japanese cuisine . The slow cooked veal cheek tasted as if the alcohol had not been cooked off and was akin to a badly prepared school food stew. I have had nicer food in an NHS hospital and I am not kidding. We asked for chicken teryiaki which they made a big fuss of serving for my son from the children's menu- again nothing teryiaki about it. Would not be surprised if it was staff food - another sort of chicken stew . I very much doubt the chef is Japanese or even Asian.

We came here for a one night stay for our anniversary and had a lovely time. The main building has been refurbished to retain its traditional charm and historical interest. The pool and spa are spacious and relaxing. The Japanese restaurant is the best in the UK we’ve had outside of London, albeit carries a similar price tag. They also have excellent facilities such as tennis, padel and a well kitted out gym. The staff are all very attentive and kind. We would highly recommend this for a long weekend.
