I had booked the property over 1 month in advance but 3 days after check in they write to me that the apartment is flooded and they offer me another one for the same price. When I point out that the replacement apartment has one room less and therefore we would have 2 people who would have had to sleep in the kitchen lounge instead of in the bedroom, they offer me a price similar to that paid for the original structure for which I had, however, benefited from a discount of booking. I am also perplexed because they ask me to cancel the booking reservation, for which I would have paid the penalty and would no longer have used customer assistance. Among other things, on the phone they tell me that Lecce is in super demand on the weekend of my reservation and that therefore they had no interest in giving me the other apartment at a lower price and therefore the most convenient thing for them was to cancel my reservation: but really, I never would have said that?!?! So I call the booking customer assistance who tells me that they hadn't been informed of anything by the structure, not only that, but even though they declared that the structure was flooded, it was still available for bookings. Booking therefore decided to cancel everything and offer me a structure of the same level, among other things, with a 30% lower price. From experience I have learned that it is a sin to think badly but often it is guessed.
