Stars Inn

An absolutely perfect hotel. Gleamingly clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, lovely bare floors, fabulous bathroom with great shower pressure and toiletries, 24 hour gym, great pool and hot tub, late checkout ($25)- it even had a good breakfast. Free shuttle from the airport and back again the next day for our next flight! All this for around $100 Canadian!!! Boy did we pick the right hotel!

Booked our room in February for a June trip. Imagine our surprise when we arrive from the airport, after a long day of travel, to find the hotel has shut down for renovations and did not tell us.

We made a surprise last minute visit to Edmonton after our Swoop flight out of Toronto to Puerto Vallarta was cancelled and we were rerouted, necessitating an overnight stay. We booked here and we're very pleasantly surprised. After an easy shuttle service and efficient check-in we were almost shocked how nice the room was, given how little we paid. It was clean with a comfy bed, quality bedding, and all the necessary toiletries. Unfortunately, we had to leave well before the breakfast service started at 6AM, but more importantly, the shuttle was waiting for us at the time requested. If only all travel experiences went this well!

My husband stays at this hotel multiple times a year. Back in August he was booked for one night. On the morning of his flight, he tested positive for covid. He had no oroblems with his flight canceling. Due to it being outside the hotel's canceling time, we were told his payment for the night would be held as a deposit for when he was able to travel again. It would be good for 3 months. I have been conversing with Belinda with no satisfaction for the past 2 months. He has stayed at the stars inn multiple times since then and have not yet received our credit even though it has been brought to their attention each time. It's been a run around and we refuse to spend one more dollar at this place.

I would rate this hotel higher than a 2 star. We wanted a hotel near the airport that provided simple breakfast/transfers and we had no regrets. For the price we paid, it was great value. The room we were in was huge and though we were facing the highway, it was relatively quiet if the window was closed. Nothing luxurious but the room is functional and the hotel is well located. No cafe for lunch/dinner but no issues as there were plenty of choices within walking distance or you could use the food delivery app. Special mention ... The shower is great as compared to some 5* hotels we have stayed in ... Good water pressure and we did not have to fiddle too much to get warm water. Staff were helpful and courteous. We had a chat with the GM and she was friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel if you need a couple of nights or just to transit before your next flight.

Five superstars for this hotel. Extremely clean, airy and bright. No carpet! Seamless check-in. We had a very nice room, two beds, not our usual choice, however a king was more expensive! Go figure? Very nice large shower, .... the room was well cared for and spotless. The pool was very nice also, albeit, freezing cold, the hot tub, actually a warm tub at best. Spot on breakfast, again a large and spotless area. All the usual stuff. The coffee was decently flavorful and "almost" strong enough. Enough places to eat nearby and a mall and ****** just across the road. We would certainly revisit, decent price as well.
