Carrowntober House B & B

We had such an amazing stay here! The house is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The room was spacious and quiet, and the shower was great! Lots of hot water! Easy parking, and walking distance into town, and Gerry and his wife were lovely hosts (if you like to fish, talk to Gerry!). He made me tea and served it in the sitting room the day we arrived when my friend wanted to nap and I didn't. The location was a great jumping off point for lots of day trips, and the breakfasts were so hearty we often didn't even need another full meal until dinner. The town itself is charming and offers a few different restaurants and take away options, and a great little kitschy gift shop and pharmacy all on the main street. This BnB is an excellent value. I have already told my sister and mom to stay there when they visit Ireland next year.

Great place to stay, Mary was excellent at giving us ideas on where to visit the next day, as well as letting us know the best place to have evening meals. Great breakfast selections. Tranquil locations and close to the little cozy town.

Wonderful bed and breakfast! Place was immaculate,comfortable and food was delicious!! Very close to town, within walking distance. Would highly recommend this place as it is also a beautiful location. The hostess was very accommodating to our needs because we traveled many miles to reach and made sure that we were able to check in at a later time

Mary and Gerry are gracious and thoughtful hosts. Mary is very helpful to arrange and recommend activities and offers a lovely chat at breakfast. The location is fantastic, close to the village of Oughterard, walkable and beautifully curated grounds. Parking is easily accessible and plenty of spots. The room was large, the beds comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. There were waters left for us each day as well as room tidying. The food was delicious at breakfast with a bright, cheery breakfast atrium. My son loved their friendly and very well trained Labrador Maggie. Overall, it was a splendid stay and I highly recommend Mary and Gerry Carrowntober House. I would definitely book again and highly recommend for children and families, groups. Thank you!!

My dad has started staying here during the fishing season and he loves it. Run by a lovely couple, Mary and Gerry who are very kind and always look after my dad and go the extra mile to make sure he is comfortable. Very clean, comfortable beds, and rooms are a good size with an en-suite.

We loved our stay with Mary!! Our visit was on the last night of our trip and it was our favorite B&B. Her home is so warm and welcoming. She is very personable and goes to great lengths to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast she prepared was amazing as well! We can't stress it enough how much we believe you will also enjoy your time at Carrown Tober House in Oughterard Co Galway.
