Feeling like a chatelain in this old castle, you'll not only enjoy the great rooms but also the excellent restaurant ! This is really an old castle totally renovated (no A/C) ! Rooms and reception areas give a vibe of the life in past centuries. The restaurant is delicious with copious portions. The service is great as well.

Beautiful location, grounds allowed for a lovely quiet walk. The room was in keeping with the rest of the building. There was with a coffee machine in the room but just two coffee pods which I thought was a little scarce, however there was two bottles of water which was welcomed. The evening meal was formal with an excellent choice of food and wines, I had the fish and it was cooked to perfection, the apple pie was divine and a culinary piece of art - wish I had taken a picture! Breakfast was reasonable, with a range of cereals, yoghurts, bread etc so you will not go hungry! Parking is ample, so cars can be parked in safety, just beware of falling cookers from trees above, time of year permitting of course 😀. Would definitely stay here again.

If you want to experience living in a French chateau this is the place. Sweeping entrance drive, huge terrace with sofas overlooking parkland gardens and wonderful original accommodation and furniture. Our 'basic' room was huge with a bathroom nearly as big, all well appointed with modern amenities. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Restaurant looked expensive so we went into Verdun.

Now, I’m only 31 so I guess I don’t have as much reference as some older folks, but Le Château des Monthairons offered a wonderful experience. The rooms are unique, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was genuinely kind, respectful, and dedicated. My father and I had dinner at the Château every evening of our stay. We were not even wanting to try another restaurant in the area I was so satisfied with the menu available. Breakfast was generous and delicious. The Chateau lies on beautiful grounds where you can go for a walk though the forest. The Meuse flows through the property where you can sit and enjoy watching the herons. It is peaceful and quiet. Ideal location for visiting WW1 memorial sites. Be sure to have a car!

Pour un endroit aussi prestigieux,le menu de la St Valentin était moyen ,on s'attendait a mieux surtout pour une somme de 280€... Personnels distants Déçu,nous n'y retournerons pas... Le visuel était là mais pas les saveurs, entrée,plat,dessert .

Accueil chaleureux avec un excellent service ! Nous avons pris le menu dégustation, tous les plats étaient goûtus! Nos amis nous ont fait découvrir cet établissement pour déjeuner ce jeudi 25 Avril 2024 et nous en sommes ravis !! Nous recommandons cette bonne table Meusienne aux épicuriens !! c'est a l occasion de l anniversaire d'une amie que j ai reservé la prestation " forfait decouverte" qui comprend le diner degustation , la nuitee, la bouteille de champagne et le petit dejeuner . au moment de la prise de reservation , je suis tombé sur une personne tres professionnelle qui a su repondre avec attention a mes souhaits et ou interrogations. a notre arrivee, la chambre (standard) etait prete... bemol celle ci etait non seulement froide mais en plus etait occupée par des insectes (morts et vivants lol)... oublie de la femme de menage ? évidemment j en ai parlé a la responsable qui nous a mis aussitot dans une chambre plus confortable ... sans decoration raffinee helas mais ambiance intimiste et tamisée qui donnait en partie sur un point de vue du parc. j ai enormement apprecié la vue sue ce cadre idylique , j ai gouté avec plaisir le moment de balade dans le parc notamment la biodiversité le long de la meuse sauvage. niveau restaurant bravo pour le menu suprise concocté par le chef ( plats d'automne autour du gibier) et le service aux petits soins servi dans le grand salon du chateau la tres grande classe . j ai aimé la facon discrete , courtoise et chalereuse au moment ou un membre du personnel a apporté le dessert avec feu d'artifice.... les etoiles brillaient chez madame . dommage concernant le petit dejeuner , je l ai trouvé plutot "basique" pas de varietes de pains elaborés ( du pain blanc uniquement) les viennoiseries industrielles ? pas de source de proteines comme du saumon une omelette ou du tofu... et la bouteille de champagne proposée au petit dejeuner s'avere etre un vin effervescent ( type mousseux ). ce sejour aurait pu etre encore plus que parfait , je suis certain que l equipe saura repondre aux differents points moins positifs... et briguer l'excellence .

Superbe château chic et grandiose. Superbe parc de 14ha. Superbement arboré par des essences remarquables et fleuri toute l'année. Magnifique pour la promenade Très bonne cuisine, raffiné, connue de toute la région et même plus encore car le chef Etchebest y est deja passé . Très bon accueil. Personnel au top Tout est parfait On y retourne régulièrement
