Quite unique, located in the hills just 5 minutes from the edge of Levanto. Very peaceful. On lots of levels so you need to be good climbing stairs. From our room we went down, then either a long flight up to reception or a small flight down and then take a lift up. Breakfast very good but same every day - would have been good to have a little variety when staying a week. Car parking - recommend you book the underground car park otherwise it could be tricky. Evening meals - none at the hotel - but they offer a mini bus service down to the town and back (and the station). We used that a couple of times but ended up preferring to drive down ourselves as it gave us more flexibility and there is lots of car park space on the sea front. Nice swimming pool down the hill. Can't give hotel 5 stars as no restaurant for evening meals - a simple pasta or pizza dish on the terrace watching the sun go down would have been wonderful. Helpful staff.

This beautiful hotel is about 5 minutes from the train station and town by car/shuttle bus. Situated in a quiet hillside location with lovely views and outside terrace. Fabulous breakfast choices with local produce including honey and cheeses. Wonderful staff who were extremely helpful in answering any queries. Levanto itself has many great restaurants including Due Lune and La Picea pizzeria. There is a lovely waterfront where you can catch the ferry to the towns of the Cinque Terre. Great hike from Monterosso to Levanto with stunning views to all the five towns. This hotel was a fabulous base for exploring the local area. Levanto seemed much less touristy but still had plenty of good restaurant choices and good transport connections to the Cinque Terre.

This is a great place to stay. Grounds are exceptional. We arrived late due to the late plane and trains in Genoa. Al Terra Di Mare assured us they would pick us up no matter what time we arrived. Breakfast here is fantastic. Shuttle service is so convenient. Bought the 5 Terra pass which allows you to jump on the trains to travel between villages. Our only hiccup was battery drain on the phone (too many pictures). Had to get someone to call the hotel to pick us up. Would recommend. It’s quiet and out of the way. Rooms are clean and spacious.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here and we can highly recommend Hotel Al Terra di Mare. The location in Levanto is perfect to explore all the Cinque Terre villages with ease. The room was excellent and the atmosphere and staff exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful hotel in a great town. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was very helpful. Covered parking was ample if you drive in, but there is a shuttle if you didn’t come by car. Great location to explore the Cinque Terre area. Highly recommend.

Very nice hotell in the hills in Levanto. Nice clean rooms. Good bed and spacious bathroom. Good breakfast and helpfull staff. And the pool area was great, nice to cool down after a long day of walking the Cinque Terre. They had a shuttle that you could use two times a day for free. Perfect when going down to centrum for dinner and back after. We used Levanto as base for hiking in Cinque Terre we then got a xtra hike from Levanto to Monterosso. Also the train went from Levanto to all Cingue Terre cities. It takes approx 20min to walk from the hotell to the train station. So i highly recomend this hotell.

We loved our stay here. Great base to hike the Cinque Terre. Shuttle bus available to reach the town and the train station. You can walk but it is a bit steep. The location is idyllic, peaceful and with great views. All the people working in this hotel are incredibly lovely. The breakfast is superb. Great pool area.

A lovely, clean, family run hotel. We had a large superior room with a balcony and beautiful views and good quality toiletries. Wide selection of cold food for breakfast, locally produced and bacon and eggs. Special mention for the lovely coffee maker and he was always smiling. Disappointed that the pool wasn't open as the weather was lovely and could also benefit from a kettle in the room. We had a busy day on the train to Cinque Terre one day. A walk to Boccadasse the next day, (flat, old railway line which was ideal as we couldn't manage the hikes), and the all day ferry to the Cinque Terre and Portoveno on the final day which was well worth a visit. The shuttle ran at specific times which were ideal. 2 free journeys a day. You could walk to the town wick was about 25 minutes away but it's not all pavement so we only walked it once. The family are all really friendly, very organised and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you for a lovely break as there were lovely terraces to relax on after busy days out.
