Ouf, what a hidden gem! The bungalows at Purwa Ijen are top-notch, offering an amazing value for money. It is located in a super authentic, small and peaceful village with beautiful views and lush vegetation (besides all the rice fields). Our highlight was the breakfast, where we got the best smoothie bowl on our whole trip through Indonesia. The Ijen tour (500K) was also an unbeatable price. Transfer to the Bali ferry for 200K was also affordable. We especially loved the spacious bathroom and the comfy terrace with jungle and ricefield view. IMHO Purwa Ijen is one of the best value accommodation you can find in the Ijen area, highly recommended. WiFi also worked like a breeze.

Very beautiful hotel area. Stayed here just for a night before climbing Ijen. The hotel has a transfer service to the foot of the volcano and back; they provide a respirator, a flashlight and a bottle of water. Very nice staff! Beautiful landscape and pool, spacious rooms. Delicious and varied breakfast. All liked it!

The service was very good and the staff was friendly. The view from the countryside was beautiful. It was about an hour away from the Izhen volcano. That is, I sleep very lightly, I have a howling at night, I am very annoying, the room is not soundproof, the people who go to climb the volcano at night speak very much to affect the sleep surface, the broadcast of the mosque at 4 o'clock in the morning starts again, and someone plays the piano at 6 o'clock. This night really makes people cry and laugh.

The hotel is very secluded. You have to drive from the main road to the country road and drive on a narrow dirt road for 20 minutes. But it is still a hotel very close to Ijen Volcano. It takes 45-50 minutes to drive from the hotel to the entrance of Ijen Volcano.
The environment is beautiful. When the weather is clear, you can see a volcano in the swimming pool. Although the hotel's catering is not very diverse, the taste is good and the price is moderate. Three meals a day can be satisfied. Fried noodles, oxtail soup, and pasta are recommended. The spa is also worth trying.
There are two types of hotel rooms. The rooms with air conditioning are relatively small. We stayed in a room with a high ceiling, a pointed roof, and no air conditioning. It felt very comfortable. The toilet and shower were outside the room without a roof, which felt quite open.

The hotel is very close to the scenic spot. The staff are very responsible, but not unreasonable. Please be sure to prepare the order confirmation pin code when checking in, which is more convenient for check-in

LLeeShinIf you are coming to Ijen volcano, it is recommended to make a reservation. The hotel environment is very nice and quiet, you can have a good rest, and the food provided by the restaurant is also very good. Highly recommended.
