Thank you for a good stay i Schweiz. I was back after almost 30 years. Nice and clean hotel. Self-checkin worked fine and the breakfest was just enough. Nice and quiet area, with no noice of any kind. Will be back and try the famous Restaurant some time soon.

The Hotel Engel was quite charming. We had some personal business in LIestal and the Hotel staff was absolutely amazing. Our rooms were quiet and spacious. In lieu of air conditioners, fans were provided in each room. It was rather chilly overnight so the fans were sufficient enough to cool the rooms. The staff was lovely. There was a kind gentleman at the front desk who assisted us with all of our needs. He made certain our rooms were ready for an early check in and recommended restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was fantastic! Ample choices were given and a variety of fresh fruit and cereals were offered. The baked goods were delicious. A selection of homemade jams were offered and they were all scrumptious. All in all, the Hotel Engel was a wonderful choice for our stay in Liestal.

Very nice and comfortable hotel, with all modern appliances. The hotel is conveniently located (near a supermarket, walking distance from Liestal downtown and 15-20 min from Basel - by car or train). Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast is about 20 Swiss francs - very copious and diverse choices.

The hotel is a no frills one but still very good. Large rooms, Excellent location, quiet place very clean and within 15 minutes from busy Basel. Eating at the hotel's restaurant is a must - Mad Angel, great mixology options and fantastic food! Well done

We spent 5 nights at the Hotel Engel and were tremendously impressed. The hotel is steps away from the heart of the City and outdoor cafes where you can watch the world walk by. The rooms at the hotel are quite comfortable. Best of all is the service. Beatreaz at the front desk is outstanding. Very friendly and goes the extra step for you. The only downside to the hotel is if you're a light sleeper, you may hear the bells from the City. It's likely you'll hear them from any hotel near city center.

Very well decorated hotel with lots of charm. Magnificent garden terrace at the back. Very good restaurant with vegetarian option. Very good breakfast. Heartwarming welcome. Ask for a garden side room.

The bed and the room were very good, the bathroom too. I give it a 4/5 because in terms of food allergies, nothing is indicated at lunch and it's not easy to navigate but the staff is very kind and helpful.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut zu finden. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Wir wurden kurz und bündig über das Hotel orientiert. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, mit dem Nötigsten ausgestattet und ruhig. Trotzdem fand ich den Zimmerpreis inkl Frühstück am oberen Limit.
